The Osprey Quantum Pack is a daypack that makes me wonder if Osprey has some sort of pocket engineer sitting around thinking of awesome and functional pockets to add to their packs. Maybe engineer isn't the right word. Pocket Jedi Master might be more appropriate. This backpack features a laptop pocket, an internal document sleeve, an MP3 pocket, a front pocket with a mini-organizer, a front stretch mesh pocket, and plenty of extra room in the bag to spare. Everything has a spot without having excessive pockets: it's a flawless balance of pockets that only the most advanced Pocket Jedi Master could create but is for everyone to appreciate. Ideal for trekking across campus or for a quick overnight or daytrip, this bag is always ready to go and looks great carrying anything. And don't worry about being delicate with your daypack: use it and abuse it without worries thanks to it's durable ripstop nylon construction.

At 98 mm underfoot, the HardSide is the narrowest ski built with the Hybritech sidewall construction. A few short years ago, it would have been considered a powder ski, and it certainly won’t disappoint on the deep days. However, it’s designed for skiers who’s off piste playgrounds consist more of cut up crud and firm snow than bottomless powder, so we gave it slight shovel rocker for versatility, and a powerful metal laminate construction for race room precision, stability and edge hold.

I absolutely love this backpack. I had been looking for a new backpack for over a year and could never bring myself to spend the money on one in case I didn't like it. I finally stumbled across this one and talked to a very helpful person who told me all about it. My biggest concern was it being spacious enough for all of my books. I'm in nursing school and have to tote around anywhere from 1 binder to 4 textbooks and 2 binders. This backpack carries it all and stays comfortable while doing it. I have to say it is absolutely amazing for all of my needs. On another awesome note, the waterpack pouch doubles as an awesome laptop sleeve that fits my 13" macbook pro perfectly and even leaves space. Just when you think it can't fit any more stuff, there is an outside pouch that stretches to hold my planner, drug book (which is pretty thick), and even a snack. And the side pouches stretch big enough to hold a nalgene. All in all this backpack rocks and I would suggest it to anybody. One last thing, I am an avid hiker and this pack doubles as a great daypack. Most importantly besides it keeping your back comfortable, it has this awesome foam layer that doesn't make your back sweat like normal bags. Once again, can't praise this pack enough. And I'm 5'5" and about 135 lbs. and it isn't bulky on me at all!!
Okay, honestly I was a little disappointed when I first got this pack in the mail. For the price I expected cushier, thicker shoulder straps compared to what is there, and other small amenities that other packs seem to have. After a few days, however, I found there are ways to customize how the pack rides on your back by adjusting certain straps, and this made it so cushier straps weren't necessary. After a week the pack grew on me even more, both in style and utility. I use it primarily for school and can fit a 15" laptop, four spiral notebooks, textbook, iPad, and there is room to spare. All in all I would say this is a great pack, would give it five stars if it wasn't quite as expensive.
