A warm, lightweight over boot for extreme cold weather mountaineering, the Brooks Ranger has been on the summits of the most punishing peaks in the world. A water resistant layer of coated 8 oz. pack cloth lines the boot section, while 1000d Cordura provides crampon-resistant protection along the inside of the leg and around the lower gaiter. A high volume Taslan Gore-Tex leg section functions as breathable protection over insulated pants. Insulation around the boot area includes closed-cell foam for use with strap on crampons and open cell foam for use with step in models. Dense Poron foam in the insole prevents cold from passing through the sole of your boot. A Cinch-Strap passes from the heel around the ankle, allowing the Brooks Ranger to function as a bootie in camp.
