On television, in magazines, and in the mountains all over the world, OR, Crocodiles have become the most visible of all gaiters. Is it their bombproof construction? Their trim fit? Their easy adjustability? Well, it's probably all of the above. In any case we're glad that this ground-breaking design has been so successful. Crocodiles were the first fitted gaiters whose size could be adjusted to fit tightly on boots of different sizes.
Changing the amount of overlap of the wide VELCRO® brand front strips changes the Croc's circumference, allowing a single pair to fit several different boot styles. The foot section is armored with denier Cordura and lined with the. The waterproof coatings on the two layers face one another so they'll never be worn away.
Taslan fabric covers the leg section and combined with a 3/4 in. wide webbing and cam buckle top closure, keeps out the elements.

Down to the tiniest detail Crocodile Gaiters have everything that made Outdoor Research Crocodiles the premier gaiters for hiking and climbing for so many years. They're fitted gaiters, but the size is adjustable via the 2"-wide Velcro® front opening. The uppers are Taslan GORE-TEX®, and the tough Cordura® lower part is lined with the packcloth that most gaiters are made of! The strap-and-buckle top closure is very comfortable and is bomber secure when postholing. A double-riveted lace hook and a burly nylon-supported instep strap keep the gaiters firmly attached. We're totally confident that there is no other gaiter anywhere as tough, durable, and easy to use.
The original do-it-all gaiter of mountaineers, backcountry skiers, and off-trail adventurers, the Outdoor Research Women's Crocodiles Gaiters are designed for ladies who handle anything. Designed specifically for women, these gaiters feature increased volume in the calf and a shorter overall length. The durable Taslan Gore-Tex® leg section, much like the Crocodile Gaiter's namesake, creates an impenetrable hide-like shield against snow, rocks and every hiker's bane, the thorny Devil's Club. The 1000d Cordura boot section, lined with burly, coated 8 oz. packcloth, resists the abuses dealt from ski edges, crampons and general wear. The water-resistant coating on the packcloth faces the Cordura layer, thereby protecting the coating from boot abrasion and insuring a much longer life for these gaiters. A 2in-wide hook-and-loop front closure offers enough range to accommodate leather and plastic boots as well as light or heavy insulating layers.

"Functional, cute, perfecto!!!"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Okay, I know, gaiters aren't suppose to be cute. They're functional gear, I know, I know! But still- they're CUTE! And yes, on a mountain or in the woods it matters to me. Why? Well, I have a boyfriend who likes to photograph at all moments in time and although my hair is matted from no shower and my face is dirty from all the mud, my legs look cute in these gaiters. Oh, and yes, I suppose I should tell you that they are incredibly functional as well. Yes, they keep you warm, dry and scratch free (especially useful for those of us who are less than graceful). They adjust easily, they come off easily, they last a long time. I like them so much I'm buying another pair! | |

"Did I mention that I love 'em"

| Love these gaiters. I had a pair of low gaiters and was not real inpressed, but I got these and hiked the next day in the snow in the Great Smoky Mts. Did I mention that I loved them. I am like the messiest hiker ever, doesn't matter how dry the trail is I end up with dirt all over my legs... Not with these, take them off and no more dirt getting on the car on my way back home... did I mention that I love 'em. Have worn them every time I have hit the woods since the Jaw dropped them on my doorstep. | |

Great product! | |

| After trying on numerous gaiters sized for men it was a joy to put on a pair that were sized for a woman's leg. No more baggy and too long gaiters! I still had a little extra width. However, given the opportunity, I'd might buy a small rather than medium. Gaiters need more specs, not just S,M, and L! How about length and max and min circumference. I wore my new gaiters on a 60ish rainy day on the West Highland Way. Not only did they keep mud out of my shoes and off my pants, but my legs didn't sweat buckets. | |

I used these to climb Mt. Elbert in Colorado. Went through so rough terrain and these babies toughed it out. I really truly put them to use on that mountain. I own another pair of a different brand that made it only a year with my trekking and climbing. I am happy to know that the OR gaiters will last a long time. I knew they were pretty tough after what I put them through recently. Ahh, this is only the beginning of a long lasting relationship I believe...

The Croc Gaiter | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
This gaiter rocks! The croc gaiter stays up on your leg better than any other gaiter that I have used and doesn't shift around at all. They are easy to put on and stay there very securely. My only negative to this gaiter is that it doesn't do well in the hot temps, you tend to sweat a ton under them, they don't breathe extremely well. But for snow or moderate temps, this gaiter is unparalleled. I have never had it tear with a crampon on either.

Great/Cute Gators | |

I bought these for my wife! We are using these for a little snowshoeing. They seem great. No concern of tearing but they're reinforced just in case. They're plenty adjustable and seem to be a perfect addition to the keep it warm/dry arsenal. OR stuff has always worked very well for me and I expect the exact same from these! Plus they have the cuteness factor with a little flowering on the sides:)

"they get the job done, well"

| I used these gaiters out my first time ice climbing and they worked great. The fabric is tough, so my pants were protected when I slipped. It also was good for hiking through the woods just to get to the routes. I'd definitely recommend them. My only complaint is that they were pretty hard to hook onto the boot laces, but that goes for all gaiters as far as I know. | |

"Great Girly Gaiters!"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These gaiters are the best I've ever used! Easy to use and easily adjustable. These even kept the snow out of my shoes when I wiped out sledding. I like the girly flower and have actually had people ask me what brand they are. Another bonus is these gaiters really fit my lilliputian feet. I've also found that gaiters add an extra layer of protection against the vicious snow bunnys! | |

THE BEST! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
Absolutely Bomber! I climb the Colorado mountains and put these through the wringer. I have had a pair of these for 6 years, albeit the mens version since I don't think they made womens then. They are just now getting a little ragged and I have used them A LOT. They have withstood many close encounters with ice axes, trekking poles, snowshoe cleats and crampons...OR is the best!

My First Pair | |

And probably my last considering how durable these things seem to be. I'm a newbie with crampons so I'm still constantly rubbing against the gaiters quite a bit, but I've not seen any evidence of wear yet. Easy on/off, but once they're on they're not going anywhere. Good fit for a very generalized product.
