Great Warm Versatile Balacava
You can wear this balacava with the face portion fully up covering your nose and mouth, just covering your head/chin/jawls, or just as a neck gaiter.
Tried other head coverings and other balacavas and this one just fit right.
And with other convertible balacava's, the ears inadvertently get exposed. Been riding for weeks in the 20-39 degree weather around Seattle and with this balacava, been just right. Warm and you can always adjust so you don't overheat. Love it.

Good wind protection on neck
I bought this product to use a wind protection on motorcycle and skiing. Performs well in wind and keeps neck warm. Just got back from a ride in 43 degree weather on Interstate and neck was nice and warm (65mph at 43degrees is wind chill of approx 25). Plan to use for skiing too - but haven't tested yet. Most balaclava that REI sells do not provide as much frontal windproofiness as this OR product. If you want good frontal wind protection on your neck - this is it.

I am a cart attendant [@], and in winter time, i like to keep my face warm and this did the trick. I could slip it off when i go inside and keep my neck warm and slip it back on for full coverage when i go back outside. It fit very well, however, due to my constant adjustment of the item, it did begin to fray, but not too much. It does well against the wind, however i have not yet tried it in the rain.
