The perfect stuff sack for your sleeping bag!

I bought three of the 20 liter stuff sacks because my Sierra Designs Ye He 20 sleeping bags only came with large mesh bags sewn to the bottoms. The problem is you can't smoosh up the sleeping bags small enough to fit into a backpack. These 20 liter models are perfect for the job - you simply fold your bag in half length-wise and start tightly rolling it up. The best part is you don't need to pack a two ton hydraulic press to make your bag small enough to fit inside the sack, like some of the ones that come with sleeping bags. The 20 liter measures 19" long x 9-1/2" wide when fully stuffed and slides nicely length-wise into my Osprey Kestrel 38 backpack, leaving room to spare.

Great sack...

These are great stuff sacks. They have a very apparent coating on the inside of the sack that is waterproof, they are very light, in all cases thus far, lighter than the sacks that come with my gear, as well as being more water resistant. The regular Stuff Sack is very similar in weight from what I can tell to the Lightweight Stuff sack so it might be worth it for you to look carefully into both options before making a decision. Highly recommended.

Classic Sack ... Update If You Can.

Don't get me wrong. It's not a terrible bag, but if you're willing to spend $11 for a non-waterproof, heavier stuff sack that doesn't breathe well (note: I used to keep my food in one on long hikes, and well, it built up quite a bit of condensation inside), you might as well spend $18 on a Sea to Summit UltraSil Dry Sack. Or something comparable. This OR Classic is a good sack for weekend trips, but if you're planning an extended hike, pony up the extra $8. You'll be happy you did.
