Super Packable, Deliciously Warm, and ..
This little hat packs away in its built in pouch and you wont even know that it is there, in the pocket of your GoreTex parka but if and when you need it, it will warm you up. It is not magical but it is an excellent product. To pack so well the fabric must be something light and in that sense, it does need to be treated kindly. That being said, I live in a place where below zero and high winds are the norm and my windproof polartec hat hasn't left the closet this season! This hat is definitely worth your dollars. Warm, Comfortable, Breathable, and it can even cover your ears!
Down for your head = a genius product
I've been looking for something like this. It makes so much sense to have a lightweight, stuffable item that I can stick into a corner of my backpack, ready to toss on my noggin when the temperatures turn chilly. Works under the hood of my rain jacket, too.Admittedly, I'm not crazy about the color choices -- a nauseous green ad a dark purple. But if it's on my head, I won't have to look at it, it will just be keeping me toasty.
Ultralight and warm
Great hat for the gram counters who don't want to sacrifice warmth. This hat is very light and packs down into it's own tiny attached stuff sack. Stuffed size is smaller than my cell phone, but way lighter. Fit is snug, but the stretchy baffles prevent compression of the down. Will make great head gear for bivy camping. I like it so much that I plan to get one in every color. Like a Montbell super stretch down hugger for your head.
Sizes tight, awesome hat

The only problem us that it comes in S/M or Lg/XL, and I'm a Med/Lg according to Outdoor Research's sizing chart. (very useful)
The elastic in the headband is unfortunately tight, and so the S/M is a bit uncomfortable to wear, despite an otherwise good fit.

I got this just to keep my head warm when stopping on the winter trail for a break and of around base camp on climbs. Well worth the money! Incredibly warm of course and very soft. Not as breathable as I would like, but you can't have everything you want.
A Furnace for your head
Surrounds your head and ears with soft warmth. Except for the fact that you are in luxurious comfort in freezing temperatures, you'll forget you're wearing it. Looking forward to winter camping and not complaining about a cold noggin in 10 degree weather.
i love my down beanie its very warm and it packs down so small ! i got a big nugget so i had to get a lg xlg and it fits well i have a 7 3/8 in head
look no farther for the warmest beanie. this is a must beanie.... I can even wear this in the sleeping bag without readjusting it .stays put.

Very warm per weight
Despite being ridiculously light, it is very warm – much warmer than fleece.Snug fit and soft material next to skin. Packs down very small. Love it.
Blocks wind and extremely warm in the coldest temperatures. A must for anyone who lives in the extreme cold.

get original Black Rock down hat instead
This has a very annoying elastic band (actually bands) around the whole hat and it's the two nearest the opening of the hat that are the most annoying, as they snug up against your forehead and make it a very uncomfortable hat to wear. The original Black Rock down hat is really much better made (but of course, much more expensive). Don't bother with this hat.

Meh. Not as good I thought it would be.
Not as big as I thought it would be (I ordered the large). Not as warm nor as compactable as I thought it would be. I would not buy another one. I also got the down cap which I like better. The folding bill on it is a nice touch and it was truer to the large size advertisement.
