Great for leashless climbing

I use these gloves for ice climbing with leashless tools. They have great dexterity and fit my hands well. They're actually the second set I've purchased- I love them for climbing. I used sno-seal to treat the palms for additional water resistance. I store them inside my coat while belaying and use a set of mitts instead- helps keep them dry and lets my hands warm up a bit. Above I wrote that these gloves aren't the warmest. This is true, but it's more a limitation of this class of glove rather than a design flaw. A glove with more insulation would certainly be warmer, but would sacrifice the dexterity and fit that I need.

Good Gloves

I use it without a linner to take child to school and walk to car for work and drive until car warms up. -10 degrees good without linner stops wind. Today 35 km/h winds snow blowing with linner at - 10 - 15 warm and cozy light weight not heavy. I am glad I bought these they are an in betwwen glove for cold days but not too cold. have not used them for winter sports yet or really cold weather stay tuned in future.

Fingers are a little long the smaller size would be just rigth but would be too tight with a linner.

Excellent Active Outdoor Winter Sports

Purchased the glove primarily for Nordic Skiing (XC Skiing) in the Northeast. I Loved the glove and tested both Size Large and X-Large, however the Large was to tight for my hand while gripping the ski pole, and the X-Large was to large in circumference ultimately bunching up when gripping the ski pole. Don't let this deter you from the glove it is still a great tech item. which dries quickly and maintains warmth even when damp in 20 degree weather.

Warm and well-constructd.

OR is one of my go-to companies for gloves, and the vert glove did not disappoint. They offer great winter worth, while remaining low bulk and easy to move. Minimal dexterity is lost, making these a great option for winter hiking, x-country skiing, or just all around cold protection. Highly recommended.

as advertised

Fit true and have great dexterity. These will keep you dry, but beware w/ temps below freezing. Durable so far.
