The Hot! by Pacific Outdoor has proven weight saving techniques of matrix die cutting the foam to attain high R-values where they count and to substantially reduce weight and bulk further. In the torso and foot area we apply our heating elements to augment your sleep system, but pulse heat in only when you need it to keep you from over heating and sleeping all night long. A perfect partner for your sleep system when the temps dip down unexpectedly, and you need that little extra boost of heat to tied you over for the night and keep you a sleep.
The Pacific Outdoor Equipment InsulMat Hot! Sleeping Pad uses an electronic heating element to warm your body as you sleep, assuring you stay warm when it's cold outside. Powered by four AA batteries, the InsulMat Hot! sleeping pad has a thermostat that turns on the heating coils when it reaches 68F, keeping you toasty and allowing the batteries to last up to 8hr during the night. In colder weather, keep the batter pack inside your sleeping system to prolong their life. The self-inflating InsulMat Hot! sleeping pad from Pacific Outdoor Equipment is exactly what you need to assure a good night's sleep on your next camping trip.

I ordered the long and was disappointed with the pad. I sent it back. The battery pack takes 6 AA batteries, and it's sort of a hassle to get the batteries in the plastic battery pack. Then when I turned it on, it was not as warm as I had hoped. A "non-electric" pad is just as good, and not as complicated. It's not worth the money. | |
