Good pannier for commuting | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I bike commute daily from Bothell to Seattle and need a pannier that can carry my work dress clothes. This pannier does a good job of meeting my needs. I'll detail some of what I like and what could be improved. The good: Very waterproof compared to other garment bag type panniers. Lots of interior pockets. Nice padded laptop pouch inside. Cavernous exterior pockets and sturdy carry handle. Overall well built with lots of room. Keeps my dress shirts from wrinkling. What could be improved: Doesn't fold over the rack real well and the mounting velcro is awkward. Now that I'm used to it it works well. At first it had a lot of heel strike until I moved it back on the rack. I worried about it hanging so far off the back, but it hasn't slid and I go over some pretty bad root bumps. Would be helpful if the exterior pockets had some inner mesh zippered pockets to carry things like a wallet, badge, etc. Finding things like your keys can be hard because they are so big. Oh, and it's heavy, but that's the price you pay for large and waterproof. | |
