Best Active Boxer Brief...Period
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have used the Patagonia Boxer brief for almost 5 years. The first generation was very good (stilll have them and use them) but the waistband came undone a bit. The second generation fixed that problem, but the shape didn't allow any extra room for you "anatomy" if you know what I mean. You had to pull them up a bit to gather some extra space. Now...all those issues are solved. Great material; breathes spectacularly and never ever feels wet...even when it is. The shape contours to fit the male anatomy perfectly and everything stays in place; cool and dry. It works kid of like a jockstrap, but WAY more comfy. I use them for exercise, hiking, climbing, skiing, running, and anything else. When I "pack light" and only take what I need...these are on the list. And that says a lot. | |

durable | |

| I'm going about to finish my 5th and last deployment, and not to be lewd or anything but most guys out here go "commando", chafing from normal underwear's seams and the length of time it takes for it to dry out keep most underwear from being practical for running around Baghdad at 120 degrees in the shade with 40+ pounds of body armor. I bought three pairs of these a year and a half ago and have worn nothing but since. They are incredibly durable, wick sweat away, prevent chafing of any kind and you can wash them in a sink without stretching them out. I'm thinking that at about $26 a pop these have turned out to be the least expensive underwear I've ever owned. | |

"I'm an underwear snob..."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These are a FANTASTIC material, especially without a tag. The only qualms I have are the legs being pretty tigh and the waist not being tight enough. I have big legs and a 33 waist, and the mediums feel like they could be a tad tighter so my butt doesnt show when I bend over. If I adjust them properly to begin wtih i dont have this problem, but I'd rather they fit how I wanted jsut slipping them on. | |

no waist band a good thing
| Rating: | ![]() |
I've tried 6 different brands of this type of underwear/brief. This one is the best and most comfortable so far. Other's I've tried are 5.11, Under Armour, Dockers, and Ex Officio. Yes, it is sort of a weird fit, as these don't have a traditional elastic waist band, but at the same time, they don't feel as constrictive by having to use compression to hold them up like others do. Breathability and warmth better than expected.

"Smooth criminal" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Silky smooth against the skin and I look forward to the mornings when I get to put them on. When compared to the Ex-Officio give-and-go boxer brief, these seem a little more constricting in The Area--this could however be due to the fact that I probably should have ordered a medium instead of the small. Also, the Ex-Officio seem a bit more durable, I'm a bit scared of ripping these but it has never occurred. | |

"Wicks Moisture, Looks great for the Ladies"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Patagucci makes a great product. The price point is not always as attractive as the gear itself though. These boxers are great for hiking, climbing and other sports. They flex so you maintain a great range of motion, but are snug enough to provide support. The material also wicks away moisture to keep you dryer, and less chaffed at days end. I totally recommend this product | |

Boxer vs Brief = Active Sport Boxer Brief
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have always been a boxer kind of guy but they leave a lot to be desired when you lead an active lifestyle. These Boxer Briefs provide the perfect amount of support and don't find there way to areas they don't belong. They have been perfect for days and days (with washings between) on ski patrol and weeks of mountaineering in Alaska (without washings between). | |

Amazingly confortable
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I got the suggestion of buying this kind of underwear from a colleague with whom I share the taste of doing sports and working out. I bought three of them, mostly for doing sports. Since the beginning I felt amazingly comfortable using them, and now I wear them at any occasion. They fit perfectly on me, I feel like having a second skin. | |

| These briefs are great. Hot is an understatement for many places I go in the desert. They do a great job of transferring sweat and preventing chaffing. My only concern is that they seem to be switching the design. I got several pairs last fall and they were beefy. The pairs I got this spring where relatively flimsy. Beefy is better. | |

Pretty good | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These work pretty well. Not as much.. ahh... 'support' as I prefer, but otherwise quite comfortable. These have a long inseam which is great when out and about in hot weather, though the slippery material does sometimes cause my pants not to stay up as well as I'd like, but that's what a belt (or similar) is for, so whatever. | |

Not the same as before | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I lused to love Patagonia Active Sport Boxer Briefs but now they are of much thinner material with not much of a waistband. My 6 pair of these of 2 previous versions are wearing out and this new version doesn't live up to the previous ones. I don't know why they had to change a good thing, changing the logo location again would have been plenty. | |

Eh... | |

I wouldn't buy anymore of these. I personally don't like the material. It's got almost a microscopic grid and if you sit for very long, they can get a little painful. As already mentioned, they do have an odd fit as well. I love all other Patagonia stuff that I own, but these are usually avoided. Next time I'm going with Icebreaker or Exofficio.

Too thick | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
picked up some of these to wear backpacking. First off they are NOT quick-drying they take a long time to air dry. The material is comfy, but it is too thick. These keep you too warm for summer backpacking warm to the point that it is uncomfortable. To just wear everyday they are fine, but don't drop the cash for them.

| I bought these and the active boxer briefs at the same time to try them both out. The active sport boxer brief are not very comfy for me. They are one of my least favorite purchases from Patagonia. I love the active boxer briefs, go with those instead. | |

Boxer Briefs Model 32453
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I find the 32453 boxer briefs inferior to the previous model 32452. The current boxer briefs are not as comfortable, durable and do not perform as well as the 32452 model. I would like to see a return to the material and cut of the 32452. | |

Not as good as the ones ordered in 2007.

| Had previously bought this brand & was completely satisfied. They are made out of lighter material now & I am not happy with the new lightweight material. Have been trying to find original heavier gauge boxer briefs but so far have not had any luck. | |

Way small! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These run very very small, order the next size up, wish I had. They stretched, but were uncomfortably tight at first and for a while, so even after stretching they did not fit right. | |

low riders | |

| I guess they must have redesigned these to ride really low....but my new pair (same size) won't stay on my waist and just slips down around my butt. Really annoying. | |

Strange cut. I have to constantly adjust these all day long. Even if I wear them to work. These are a last resort in my undies drawer.

| ...describes the material, which really wicks and keeps one cool in hot conditions. I've tried my share of under-products from diverse manufacturers...these are nice, but: I prefer a more substantial waistband, and this design has little or none. It's my hips, which are my problem (or lack thereof), so these don't stay put they way I'd prefer. They tend to both ride up (legs) and down simultaneously. I probably won't wear them during action/movement/exertion oriented acvtivity. They do feel great and are sorta sexy. Out of numerous Patagonia items I own, this is the first to not qualify for a "best purchases ever" designation. | |

| Rating: | ![]() |
| I love these boxers, they are comfortable, dry quite fast, but the fabric quality it's not as I expect from Patagonia. I had 6 of them and 4 had small holes after a couple of wears Also they don't make them in white anymore, too bad | |

Though these wick sweat better than any base layer I own, they NEVER stop riding and bunching up. Not too bad for hiking, TERRIBLE for skiing.
