Good after one season | |

| I have to admit that I'm going to keep an eye on these pants over the next year or two, the fabric seems so nice and soft, I have a hard time believing that they'll stand up to the abuse ice climbing and drytooling will put them through. But after one season of ice climbing they seem to be holding up okay. I have made a very small hole in the knee, but it doesn't seem to be enlarging. Even if I have doubts about their durability, I think the price is right even if they only last a few season. They are quite comfortable, with low profile, yet accessible pockets. The high waist comes up to my harness, which alleviates drafts which I was worried about coming from bibs. The legs are also low profile which means no crampon snags if I'm not wearing my gaiters. I would like to see a solid patch of abrasion resistance fabric on the inside of the ankles though. My biggest peeve with these pants is the zipper fly. The fly is short and is a problem if you're using a device like the Freshette. This can be a real problem hanging out in the cold all day when you'd rather not pull down your pants. This was a big over-site on Patagonia's part IMO. | |

LOVE these pants. LOVE.

| Great pair of pants. Super comfy and flattering! Order up a size or 2 if you've never tried on Patagonia pants; I can wear a 6 in many brands but needed a 10 for these so look at the size guide. Thoughtfully designed, as with all Patagonia; no extraneous pockets or buttons, just the right amount of detailing. Everything is very sleek and trim. The pockets zip closed and are lined with a warm, soft material. I feel that I can wear these in cold temps with no baselayer and still stay warm. Soft shell material is breathable yet water repellent. They are cut slim through the thighs, which I love, and they taper at the ankle but have an optional vent that can be opened for a more flattering boot cut. I am 5'8" and these just hit the tops of my boots. Very pleased with this purchase - I will be backpacking through cold Peruvian mountains for 6 weeks and cannot think of a better staple for my pack. Wish I could find a black pair in my size as well. Very pleased with these pants; a bargain for the price! | |

Great outer layer for ice climbing, alpine ascents, and even some lame midwest skiing.

| I got the guide pants shortly before a trip to Patagonia and wore them almost the whole time on top of a pair of Patagonia Capilene bottoms for both an alpine ascent and rock climbing. They were perfect. It takes a LOT of rain or snow to actually get these pants "wet." They are my go-to pants for ice climbing, although I recommend gaiters to make sure you don't rip the bottoms. There are lots of pockets conveniently located and secure with zippers. Totally worth the price! | |

Too Short for us tall girls

| Outstanding product, but once again, I am frustrated by my inability to fit into Patagonia women's pants. They are too short! Please Patagonia, follow suit like you did on the Mystery pants, and make long inseam versions and higher rises on guide and backcountry, integral and traverse pants. | |

| The best pants for "warmer days" ski touring; super comfy, stretchy material, dries quickly, good pockets for food, and nice cut for smaller women! | |

| Fits really well and comfortable for hiking in cooler conditions. Tough yet soft enough without any base layer under. | |
