"You don't want your toddler in therapy someday complaining about not having a puff rider jacket..."

Rating:*****
This is the 3rd year in a row we've bought a baby puff rider jacket. It's awesome. The zipper is easy to work, and even comes up against a zipper cover up top for preventing chafing little ones' chins (thoughtful!). Sonny was always warm in his puff rider-even when the windy snowstorms hit while visiting grandma and grandpa in NH (those old, Patagonia-less fogies froze their geriatric butts off...). That said, little peanut never overheated or had his movement compromised by wearing his puff (he was able to learn to throw a pretty mean snowball--in grandpa's face, of course! Buy the darn jacket. That way, Junior’ll have more time to tell his shrink about your authoritarian toilet training.

Love this Jacket

Rating:****
I bought this jacket for my 18 month old daughter and I LOVE IT... Its not bulky and doesn't get stiff when out in the cold. The hood is designed very well. I really wish I could detach it but its not really that bulky. I would recommend this to all of my friends. The price is $100 but it is well worth it.

Nice jacket

Rating:*****
Very nice jacket. Very well made. AND in looking for 1 to buy (out-of-stock) with about 20 phone calls. I spoke to a girl in the Chicago Patagonia store and she gave me a tip that worked.. So thank you for going 2 steps further than everyone else.. You and your company ROCK !! And my little girl loves it..

Awesome kids jacket

Rating:*****
Great fit, and works great in the 30 deg daily temps here in Kodiak AK. Try to make the zipper easier for kids to engage initially if possible. (yes I know this is the 12M model, but older bro has the 3T model so the recommendation is regarding that age.) Kids love these jackets,

The Best Baby Jacket Ever!!!

Rating:*****
This jacket has made even the worst weather days possible for my 6 month old. Not only is he warm but he loves the bright green color. If you live in the cold and want your kids to remain as active as you get this jacket.

Comfy and warm

Rating:*****
I bought this jacket for my 1 year old daughter and love it. It fits her beautifully and keeps her warm. I've even found there is plenty of room to wear a bulky sweater underneath, which is nice.

Puff RIder jacket

Rating:*****
It's fabulous. My granddaughter lives in Denver and this little jacket is THE BEST! Warm, pliable and just what they needed. The mittens are a perfect addition, too!

Negative Reviews:

Poor design and fit

Rating:**
I bought these coats for my 2 yr. old boy/girl twins last winter. I splurged for Patagonia, expecting the best quality. My daughter is small and thin, and my son is bigger and stocky, and this coat fit them both very awkwardly. The coat is very short, and whenever I would pick them up, the coat would ride up. Also, the tighter fit around the bottom made it even more bulky when it rode up. The attached hood is a nice idea, but it was a very tall and narrow shape, and looked totally wierd on both of them and did not look comfortable. I know the kids' size jackets are a better style/fit, so if you have a 2 yr. old or older, I would go for a different style until they do some significant redesign of this coat.

Disappointed for a $100 Jacket

Rating:***
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter and for a $100 splurge, I thought I'd get the perfect winter jacket. . Instead I was disappointed. The 24 month jacket was too small (it didn't close over layers underneath) so I bought her the 3T. The arms are too long and it doesn't fit snuggly enough so I'm sure a lot of air will come in. I'm not confident this will keep her warm in the blistering cold in January and don't think it was worth the money. With that said, I do like that it's not too bulky and she can still move around.

Size runs large

Rating:***
I bought this jacket in an 18 month size for my 2 year old and it fit her until she was 2 1/2 years old. I liked that it wasn't stiff and that she seemed to have good range of motion. My only dislike was the way it rode up when worn over the coordinating snow pants.
