Duway skort more upscale than most
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have this in black and will buy it in aubergine if it becomes available in my size. I have a number of skorts, but this one is the most dressy looking. I teach and wear it to work when it's warm. The fabric is very attractive. The reason that I rated it a 4 is because the shorts are a bit uncomfortable in the crotch area. The fabric is quite unforgiving. I wouldn't consider running, etc in them...the shorts feel like they'd split. I will admit that the 8 is a little snug, but the 10 is definately large. I have 3 of the Outdoor Research Element Skort from 3 years ago and adore them. The shorts are made of stretch material and are a dream compared to the Duway shorts. OR has since slightly changed the pattern and I don't like the design as much. But back to the Duway....love the small zipper on the hip of the skirt. It's perfect for a key or $. The zippers on the bottom sides of the skirt are different and just ever so slightly change the look from sleek to more casual. A great alternative to shorts. | |

| The color isn't a true dark black and it does pick up a little lint, but it's extremely comfortable and has a cute, flattering look. I think it's more slimming/less bulky than the wrap around style skorts and for me, it was true to size. It's perfect for travel when you need the dressier/conservative appearance of a skirt, but also the mobility and comfort of shorts. I wore it to work on a casual Friday and it transitioned wonderfully to a night out afterwards. You can dress it up with sandals or dress it down with sneakers. Unzipping the sides gives more mobility for biking, walking, and golf, but I wouldn't play tennis in it since it's a little long/too dressy. I think it's adorable with the Mary Jane style Skechers and plan to order some more colors. | |

nice skirt | |

| There are lots of positives about this skort. I am sure I'll wear it often. Why I rated it 4 instead of 5: The zipper gets slightly caught on its way down from the waist but that's probably because my waist is not a flat board but more like jello. I would appreciate a version with an elasticized waist and belt. The fabric is like velvet and tends to catch fluff, and despite the lining, can 'stick' to my nylon stockings. The pocket is sort of very small. I think it's functional like the little pocket on running pants. The look is quite professional so I wear it to work and don't have to worry about showing my undies. I have not used it for running or biking yet. Generally, I'm satisfied with this product. | |

Addition to my first review for the Duway skirt
| Rating: | ![]() |
So I finally got around to getting the Duway altered b/c it fit too losely around the waist (I got a size 8 and I usually wear size 8 in skirts). The taylor said that it was cut sorta straight, instead of forming an A-shape. After being tightened 2 inches at the waist it finally fit like it was supposed to.

Almost Perfect! | |

| I have to say that when I first put this skirt on I didn't like it due to the snug waist that hits right at the belly button. My husband just loved it, so I thought I would give it a chance. I wear a 6 and usually like it a bit lower and looser on the belly. If they had made it just a tad bit looser at the waist, I would be in heaven. The shorts also don't feel all that great in the crouch area until they have had a chance to stretch out a little. The skirt does look good and I fear a size 8 would look too big. I wish this skirt was about $15 less. Then, I would get another! | |

| I have been trying to find a dress heel since I had surgery on my feet over a year ago. Although I'm not the same shoe size, it was very frustrating to keep trying until I found the perfect shoe for a bit of "dress up" but this one fits the bill. Comfortable and true to a size as I can get since my feet have changed sizes! It looks great and I intend to jazz it up with some clip-ons but it feels very comfortable. I do have to thank Zappos and the wonderful women I've talked with who has been patient and tried to help me find something I could wear. They are top notch and I'll always buy shoes here. Superb customer service. | |

W's Dunway Skirt | |

| I have 4 of these skirts, they easily transition from the office to the dog park. 2008 model ran small, this yrs a bit bigger. I got a size 10 initially, but not quite right, the 12 fits nicely and rides a bit lower so not too short on these long legs. Most clothing lines I wear a size 10. Finally something that works for those of us who are active but on the otherside of 55 who have no illusions about maintaining a 20 something figure. I love Patagoinia products but found selections limited as I grew older as they were cut too small and not proportioned for the fuller figures that grace many of us in our older age. | |

| Runs large - This skirt runs large, so beware when ordering. Sizing follows that of brands such as Banana Republic and "Lauren" Ralph Lauren, where I wear a size 0 skirt...and believe me, I am by no means "tiny." I ordered a 4 in this, but really need a 0. As far as the under shorts go, they are true shorts and not briefs. You will need to wear underwear with these as the shorts will not substitute for them. Regarding appearance, this skirt has a somewhat sleek fit and does not flair out too much, as many skirts tend to do. I only wish it was a bit shorter. The look is not a sexy one. Perfect for golf. | |

| Great for traveling! This skort ended up as one of my favorite pieces during a summer trip. It was easy to wash & dried quickly in hotel rooms. The fit is comfortable, and it looks nice enough that I could go into a decent restaurant without feeling like a grungy, under-dressed tourist. I unzipped the zippers on the side to allow my legs greater movement while climbing up steep hills or rocks. Fit: I am usually a size 6 or 8 (depending on the retailer) on the bottom. The size 6 fits loosely but comfortably. The size 4 looks like it fits just right, but it is too tight to sit comfortably. The fabric does not stretch. | |

Wouldn't be without this skort...

| I've rated this a 4 in the past because I felt that the crotch of the shorts was a little uncomfortable in my size 8. I've amended the rating to a 5 as it now fits perfectly and I can actually also wear a 6 because I've lost weight. I like this so much that I purchased it in every color and gave one to a friend as a gift. It's very sleek and the no one would know there are shorts beneath the skirt. Everything about it is great: the length, the small pocket, the zippers on the sides...I'd like to see additional colors such as a deep brown, navy, rust, eggplant. | |

Liked the fabric, but not the fit
| Rating: | ![]() |
I tried this skort in a size 4 and a size 2, and sent 'em both back to Patagonia. The 4 falls off me; the 2 is too tight across the butt & too big in the waist. The rise is just... odd... for a skirt. Maybe 20-year-old women like skirts that are so low-rise they barely go above the hips -- that seemed to be the style everywhere this summer -- but I'm not fond of that look in general, and definitely not on me (age 47). Also, these low-rise skirts and skorts look terrible on someone with a long torso, like me. Seriously not flattering. I don't like skirts or pants that are "high-rise," but I need more coverage than these low-rise clothes provide. Harumph. The search for skirts or skorts continues.

| Cute but disappointing - I love the look and feel of this skirt. It is functional but not super casual, so it looks a little dressier than it is. Unfortunately, the shorts underneath don't stay put. They ride/bunch up as you walk. It could just be my body shape or something, but it was very disappointing. I took it on a walking/hiking trip to Italy and thought it would be perfect for the day walks and dressy enough for nights out, plus it dries super fast. I made it work, but it wasn't super comfortable. | |

Wrinkles & static cling
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I want to like this skort, I really do. But it doesn't drape properly on me because it's always full of static and clings to my legs (yes, both layers, the shorts *and* the skirt cling). Plus it always looks more wrinkly than I think it ought to for something that's supposed to be so "easy care". Also, a tad short for my taste. If I could just get it to not cling, I would probably love it as much as everyone else does. | |

Wrinkle Resistant? | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I love this skirt, but I have to laugh at it's claim to wrinkle resistance. It's not resistant to wrinkles at all. A short trip, packed well in a carry on resulted in wrinkles that had to be ironed out. It wrinkles when I sit down for any period of time, too. It's a nice skirt and looks great, but it is NOT wrinkle resistant by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Cut is way too big | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I love the look of this skirt and the cranberry colour, but even size 2 was way too big for me! This is unusual, as I'm usually a size 4-6 (164 cm tall and 50 kg). I was very disappointed. Patagonia needs to make this skirt in size 0 or insert some side-buttons or tabs to tighten the skirt (Prana did that with some of their pants). | |

| This skort looks great on and the fabric is soft and silky on the skin, but this is part of the problem: the shorts tend to ride up my leg. So, although I like the look and feel very much, I wouldnt buy another one. | |
