Patagonia designed its original Capilene® Expedition Weight El Cap 1/4 Zip for Men for mountaineers. River rats soon made it their own because it stays so warm while wet and dries in a flash once you're out of the spray. The best of the original lives on in its descendent, this basic zip top with fabric doubled at the neck for warmth. Made of double-faced stretch polyester fleece (78% recycled), it's indispensable as a base- or midlayer in cold conditions and also serves as outerwear when the weather's mild. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program. An all-purpose pullover made from a contemporary version of our long-time favorite, Expedition Weight fleece.

Made from warm, wicking stretch fleece that's recycled.

"a great pullover for all occasions"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| this pullover has become one of my favorite things to wear, my girlfriend told me just the other day that since i got it she hasn't seen me wear anything else. i dissagree i've been changing my pants and i only wore it in the shower once. this is a really good shirt it is warm but not too heavy and it is perfect for any casual activity. | |

"Well designed and good materials, comfy and lightweight."

| This a lightweight, breathable sweater, appropriate for athletic activity and casual wear. The usual Patagonia quality in stitching and materials, with an updated feeling of design. The off-the-shoulder seams are great for pack wearing. The surface is soft and not as tough as some outerwear fleece. Great as a mid-layer or for high metabolic rate activity, or a serious rainy day couch jockey session. | |

| I really enjoy this product! I love wearing this in the morning on a run or even hiking. It's not too heavy that I will "burn" up! So it is also great after working out and not getting cold. For this price, and its great fabric IT IS A MUST HAVE! Moosejaw, great once again! | |

"Good lightweight fleece."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Great lightweight fleece. I had a micro fleece that was similar, but lost it a number of years ago. I'm really glad to have one back...it's a great weight to wear around the house or office. It's too light for keeping warm in cold outdoor conditions, but great for indoor use. | |

Bring back the Wallace Beery
| Rating: | ![]() |
| You are right, the expedition weight capilene was a favorite. And the Wallace Beery style expedition weight pullover was one of the greatest products you have ever sold - pleae offer it again. My wife has had one for 20 years and still loves it. I want one too! | |

"I'm wearing it now!" | |

| Extremely comfortabe. It seems like I wear this weight jacket nearly all year save the hottest of weather. It's great in spring/summer for the early morning to take away the chill and perfect for layering in fall/winter when it's mega-cold...i have others, i'll buy more. | |

El Cap - Excellent as usual

| I have several of these in a variety of colors. This is one of the best basic pieces of fleece that Patagonia produces. Comfy, good looking and always ready for an adventure. Kinda like your own best friend. | |

"Nice Fleece!!!" | |

| Very comfortable fleece. It was a little warmer and thicker than I thought it would be. Overall will get very good use out of this fleece. As expected another quality Patagonia product. | |

"The best light weight coat"

| This coat is the best. Patagonia really makes a good coat, they use stuff from the environment to recycle plus keep us warm. Great for a light weight coat. | |
