You wouldn't take the Kilauea to Novosibirsk but its spring weight warmth is ideal for the streets of Paris or Prague. The jacket's wind- and water-resistant shell is quilted in a floral pattern to a cozy fleece lining. Contoured seams give the hip length jacket a trim fit. Fleece lines the stand-up collar and on-seam handwarmer pockets. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.
No need to take a mountaineering jacket into the city, now is there? Fortunately, you needn’t leave all the technical features behind when you zip into your urban coat. The Patagonia Women’s Kilauea Jacket’s wind- and water-resistant shell protects you on a blustery, sprinkly day. A fuzzy fleece lining provides insulation when the temps are a little chillier than you’d like. Swirly quilting and a stand-up collar add streetwise style.

I wish I could say I loved this jacket - I really wanted to love it! The color (Northern Light) is gorgeous - a deep, inky blue. Love the unusual quilting and the lightweight style. The problem for me is that I have narrow shoulders and this jacket is wide in the shoulders. I'm 5'2" and about 115 pounds, and the size Small was a reasonably good fit, roomy enough for a light sweater underneath but slim fitting enough to be flattering. However, the jacket is too wide in the shoulders for me, and it balloons out a little at the back which makes the jacket look a bit baggy from side on. Overall a nice jacket, well made and stylish! If you have broad shoulders and you're long in the torso this should be a winner! | |
