Ideal for extending your trip

I will now go nowhere without this bag folded away in a pocket or in my larger standard travel bag. It is ideal for stuffing with a few necessary items once at your base or final destination to extend for a short couple of days away or simply a side trip. For its weight and packability this thing can take a beating! My only design suggestion would be some shorter "grab and go" handles rather than the standard shoulder strap as I was hung-up once in a tight spot and wished I could have just held it close with one hand. Otherwise, until something better comes along this has perfectly filled a gap in my travel gear. I truly love having it available.

amazing

I love this bag. It looked smaller than I anticipated it would when I ordered it, but once I started packing I felt like I could fit anything. It's a great size for a 2-4 day weekend trip. I once packed it for a 5 day trip and fit 3 pairs of shoes--running shoes included--so it's fairly versatile and I would even recommend it for slightly longer trips. Definitely not durable enough to check, but a great carry-on bag. I LOVE it

great Y-shaped strap design

Pro: this is my third bag purchase with this type of cloth....very light, thin, and durable. I love the Y-shaped strap over my shoulder. (Bc i am petite the length of the strap is perfect on my shoulder.) I use it to carry my papers, pencil case and even tupperware for lunch.
Con: if you are taller than 5 feet the strap can only be used to carry the duffle bag with your hands.

Travel Well

I suggest everyone buy a Lightweigh Travel Duffel. Not only is it durable, it travels well and isn't restricting. I was expecting something a little bigger when I originally purchased it but looks can be deceiving. It can fit all you need it to and more! I fit clothes and necessities enough for 7 days AND 6 novels and STILL had room. MUST BUY! (Also, it's collapsible! How could you not want one?)

used a few times

be aware this is an extremely lightweight bag...if seeking to stuff to max and carry some weight, this prob isnt the bag for u. used as carry on over weekend travel (~10-15lbs) and bag was straining when i returned (stitching at carry points, exchanging for heavier duty bag). good looking bag otherwise, useful for light, light day to to day use. Avid fan of Pgonia products, will continue to be. cheers

Awesome. I thought it sucked at first because its really small and does look as fortified as it does in the pics online, but it's actually incredibly durable and just well made. I would definitely recommend it - not as a gym bag but as a duffle or anything else...

great overnight bag

I bought this bag for my 8 year olds weekend trip to camp. It worked great holding clothes for her 3 day trip and has two useful zippered pockets. The straps are long enough to use it as a temporary backpack with the cinchers on the straps to tighten it.

nice light and not burly

super pleasant travel bag for use on trips and in town.
pros: nice size, a few zippers to help organize ,so light and small it easily goes as an organizer or main bag
con: a few minor stitches can be seen. yes, it is lightweight stuff...

Lightweight is the way to go

Super lightweight for its size. Patagonia rates this bag at a modest 8.5 oz. Put this bag on my scale at home as soon as I received it, and it came in at a mere 8.2 oz. Extremely durable and high quality as well.

POOR BAG EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCY

This really is a poor bag except for emergencies or as a bag you throw in your normal luggage in case you need another bag to carry more stuff on the way home.Thin and, in my opinion, cheap construction.

Negative Reviews:

NOT A GOOD VALUE

I bought one of these expecting a good product.
I really did not like it at all. Very cheaply made and not very much utility, so I sent it back.
THe Black hole duffels are a little more expensive, but MUCH better

Neutral Reviews:

This bag is very lightweight. That part is great! It holds quite a lot for its size. That part is great! But try to refold and pack it again - they only show it as it arrives packed into the inner pocket, but not how to get it into that pocket once it has escaped out - and you will spend ages trying to get it into packing format. For impatient dummies like me they need to provide diagrams, but I just gave up and threw it into my suitcase. Other than that, it is a good little travel extra bag.

good bag for light use only

This bag has been great for very low-impact stuff like traveling (aka, putting in my car, then putting in a hotel room or as a carry-on when flying). Nice pockets and zips, good size for overnights. However, the second I put heavier stuff in mine (my climbing gear), the ripstop fabric tore where the webbing straps meet the ripstop. I guess that's what you get for such a lightweight fabric. For low-impact, lightweight stuff, this is a great bag. Just don't push it...
