I hope Patagonia makes this forever
I have this sweater in 3 colors--woodland tan, gray, and an greenlake, a color from a few seasons ago. I love them and will buy these forever. First off, merino wool is the best fabric of all time--warm but breathes, machine washable, and just plain classy. I used to wear jeans, a tee and a hoodie--now it's jeans, a tee, and one of these babies and my husband is falling all over himself to complement how nice I look. Go from slob to chic in one step!
Beautiful Cardigan
Recently, I purchased this cardigan in two colors. I was skeptical about the fabric because it is wool. I thought it may be itchy; however, it is not. It is very soft and the colors are great too! The size Medium worked for me (5'6" and 125lbs). It is a little roomy because I do not like to wear my cardigans tight. Usually I wear a size small in Patagonia tops. If you are my size and like a snugger fit, I would suggest a size smaller.
Favorite winter sweater
This cardigan is really warm and comfortable. I wear this with tops or thin cotton turtleneck. Both ways look good. When with tops, a small necklace can be a nice accent between the edges of the cardigan. I am 5'8", 132lbs, wide shoulders (about 17.5 inch), breast size 35 (34-36A). I ordered M and it fits perfect on shoulders, a bit loose on torso, but I like this fit. I ordered the beige color, and seriously thinking order a different color too.
Nice, basic, high-quality wool cardigan. If you prefer a more shrunken fit you might want to go a size down (even though it's described as a "slim" fit). Sleeves are nice and long (good it you're tall) and roomy enough to get over whatever you're wearing underneath. To my mind it could be a bit longer at the waist, but as I said, I'm tall. It's hand wash only if that's enough to throw you.
Perfect
I wear this cardigan to work every day and find myself wanting to put it on on the weekend...which is why I am now getting it in a third color : ) Very comfortable cardi- I am usually very sensitive to wool on bare skin and can wear this with a t-shirt! Very normal fit and nice stretch.
Pretty much a perfect wardrobe basic. Soft wool, not itchy at all, good fit. I've had a hard time finding a nice, simple crew neck cardigan and I like this grey one so much that I'm going to have to get another in black.
This is a nice sweater, lightweight, not itchy. I like that it's fitted and not super long. I did not like the neckline, which I found too high. If I open it a few buttons it just stays closed looking.
Light and Warm
Love this sweater. It is light enough to throw in my purse and pull out whenever I need an extra layer. I have used it a lot this summer already on cool evenings and in air conditioned buildings.
I really like this sweater. It is light but still warm. I have taken it on many trips as it packs well. It can be dressed up or down. It is a favorite in my wardrobe.
My grandmother is about 5'2" 115. We got her a size M in the red color and she loves it. Says the material almost feels "seamless." Highly recommended for getting brownie points from your Grandma!

Severely Disappointing
At first I really liked this cardigan but after washing it on delicate probably only the 5th time since it was purchased, it mysteriously came out with 3 GIANT holes in it -- and they were all in very different places. Everything else in the wash was fine and the machine is new.... Fortunately, I purchased this sweater while it was on sale otherwise I would have been even more upset about the waste of money! I expect quality products that will last when I buy Patagonia, not something that falls apart after very little use.
