ready for K2?

Bought these for skiing this winter, so haven't tried them out yet, but based on wearing them around the house I think they'd be suitable for an Everest expedition! Can't wait to hit the top of Jay Peak (northern VT) in JAN - I think I'll be the only warm person up there, unless of course everyone's wearing patagonia! Tried running some water over them and it just beaded right off, so I have no doubts about their waterproof abilities. Can't wait for winter!

Warm pant

I bought a medium originally, but exchanged it for the small. I am 5'2, 120 pounds. I often take a medium or a 6. The small was still too long. I hemmed it up. The pants form fitted after the first wearing, and are very comfortable. I love the rubicon pink, and have gotten many complements. Wish they offered this in petite,

great purchase

great value, warm, fits great, true to size, like the waist adjustment tab, perfect for cold work on the mountain days.

Negative Reviews:

Snaps need improvement

I tried these pants last season and the mediums were way too big and the next size down was sold out. I was excited to get my pants this season. They seemed to fit well around the house. I had about 1-1.5" of gapping at the waist when standing up. The snaps are not very tight and everytime I leaned over the pants came unsnapped. On one run I had to re-snap my pants 4 times, which is not an easy task with mittens on. I think this would be a great pant if they used buttons instead of snaps at the waist.

Neutral Reviews:

Disappointed

I like almost everything about these pants--not only are they warm, but I can move well in them and they're flattering. HOWEVER, I've never had a pair of ski pants that didn't fit over my ski BOOTS. I wear tiny batteries outside by boots and they've never been a problem with other brands. Can't even fit the pants around. Guess I'll need to pick between the boot heaters and the pants. My best advice, try them on with ALL your ski gear before purchasing. Sorry I didn't follow that simple advice.
