The Women's Nano Puff Vest by Patagonia is windproof, warm, lightweight and highly compressible, can be worn as a warm layer in cold conditions or as a wind protection layer during high-output activities.
Chilly mornings in basecamp, simulclimbing by headlamp, and cragging in the Creek before spring has sprung all give the Nano Puff Vest its raison d'tre. The latest of the Nano Puff lineage - here by demand from customers and ambassadors alike - keeps the tradition alive with superb compressibility, featherlight weight and surprising warmth. Worn as an outer or midlayer, the vest features a premium PrimaLoft One (60-g) insulation that traps heat and a 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish that stops the wind and sheds moisture. Finer points include a drawcord hem, two zippered handwarmer pockets and an internal chest pocket (with clip-in loop) into which the vest stuffs.

My hiking is along the asphalt plains of suburbia, but it has been a great layering piece when I've gone to the gym, grocery store, park, and pumpkin patch. Looks and works so much better than the Michelin Man puffy vests. I've had a few small snags resulting from a brush with Velcro, and I wish it were a smidge longer (I'm 5'10" and the medium hits at the top of my hips), but as a whole it moves with me and never rides up. Looking forward to pairing it with some Capilene 2 and 3 pullovers when it gets even colder.
