Worn in Patagonia | |

| I brought my new Rain Shadow Pants on a bike tour I just did in Patagonia, Chile. We were lucky to only have one day of rain. I wore the pants when cycling in the rain, and found them to be lightweight, comfortable and waterproof. I did get warm, but it was also a warm day. My comments for any changes would be to put some reflective material to the pants (although this isn't needed for most trekking), and to lengthen the zippers. I did not mind carrying them in my panniers for 3 weeks, since they were so light and compact. We also visited in the Patagonia store in Coihaique, Chile. It felt like a pilgrimage to go to Patagonia in Patagonia! | |

| Bought it for my trip to Iceland in June, was going to the North part, and you never know what the weather is going to do. It did not rain when I was there, but the pants were great against the wind and cold over a pair of warm layer. They were a bit too long for me (I am 5.3), but since the material is thin, they just gathered up at the ankles, no problems. | |

| I got the rainshadow pants right after buying a scooter. I'd worn another pair of rain pants and they'd soaked right through when it rained...the rainshadow pants didn't! Even with driving rain and pulled taut over my knees, I stayed dry. I like the fit as well. My only complaint is that the snaps at the cuff are too hard to get unsnapped. | |

"Great pants" | |

| I have not wore them yet. I bought them to do the narrows in Zion National Park. I am really excited. They seem a little tight in the waist but I think that is because the back side of them is an elastic band. I like loose fitting clothes but I still love them. | |

| My old rain pants were the dumpiest things you ever saw. These are trim and slim and they don't swish when I walk. Great waterproof fabric too. | |

| Great pants, light weight, durable. I love the zippers that run from the hip down. It would be even better if they were full zip though. | |

Big Waist | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These are huge in the waist. I like to wear things on my hips and this is not possible with these pants. There is too much material from the waist to the legs. This also makes them unflattering. I'm not planning to keep them. I'm also not a fan of the pull chord in the front. I think I would like them better if they had the rubber elastic all the way around the waist. | |
