Positive Reviews:

Cozy, cozy, cozy!

Rating:*****
My boyfriend got this for me as an early Christmas present - we figured it didn't make much sense for me to only get it halfway through the cold! I've actually been lusting after this fleece since last year, so I'm thrilled to finally have it. I wanted something warm and soft, that I could either wear as a lounge-y sweater or layer under my winter shell. I got exactly what I wanted. It's amazing how warm this fleece is - I actually like that it's not very windproof, because that can take some of the heat away if I get too warm. I just wish it was a tiny bit longer, maybe two inches or so. It hits just barely below the top of my jeans, which are just below the waist in general. If you wear low-rise pants, might want to layer a longer shirt under this! Beyond that one tiny complaint, this is the perfect fleece.

"Warm and Cozy -- won't want to take it off"

Rating:*****
I love this pullover. I wear it in place of a sweatshirt. The material is super cozy and warm and the handwarmer style pockets are great. I just ordered the jacket version of this and hope it turns out to be just as awesome. This jacket runs a little small due to the pullover syle and handwarmer pockets. I am 5'5" and 120 and got a Medium. I tried on the Small and it was a little more fitted than I like and was a tad short. Overall, Love it! Buy one if you know what's good for you!!
Kim at Moosejaw on 10/29/2009

Great to wear on campus or at home!

Rating:*****
I love this pullover! I wear it walking to class (since it has gotten so cold) and at home in my pajamas. It is very comfortable and warm, but it still allows air through so that you don't overheat! I bought mine in the Rose Taupe color and love it, but I bought a Medium (I like it to run bigger so I can layer underneath and it is long enough)... I think I should have gotten a LARGE because it runs kind of small and short in the torso area. (I am 5'6" 130 lbs.) GREAT BUY!!
Caroline at Altrec on 10/19/2009

so, this is love...

Rating:*****
When I purchased my first Re-Tool Snap a couple years ago, I wore it every day from December to February...until my mom found it, loved it, and refused to return it to me. I bought a replacement, then another for my mom, and gave 3 away as Christmas gifts last year. I LOVE THIS FLEECE! It remains my fave because it isn't heavy but still super warm -- the same type of fleece as the R2 Jacket but w/o all the fussy zippers. It's like getting a hug from a giant cozy teddy bear!
Dexy at Patagonia on 08/29/2009

THE BEST in comfort!

Rating:****
I love this sweater. I don't think it is the most flattering on me- but honestly I don't care because it is so comfortable! I came in today from the rain in a different coat and I was wet- and I put this Re-Tool Pullover on and instantly felt warm! I could sleep in this! if this was a jumpsuit I'd be happy! lol If you want a really comfy and perfect temperature fleece- get this! However, this isn't that great on it's own in cold conditions unless you're really active.
CocoLovesFleece at Patagonia on 09/11/2009

"Adorably cute and warm -- a great, colorful addition to any fall lounging day."

Rating:****
I chose this product in the tealish green color and I couldn't be happier. It's a great pop of color to my fall wardrobe and the snap collar is a nice change of pace in a substantially zip-up dominated jacket collection. This fleece is great to wear alone or to pair with a heavier coat, depending on the weather. It's cute and with the wide selection of colors, you can pick a fleece for any outfit you're wearing. Great for lounging inside or taking a fall walk. Definitely recommend!
Brianne at Moosejaw on 10/19/2009

"Love it, but runs short in length..."

Rating:*****
I LOVE this pullover, it's sooo warm and cozy. I got it in the Green Habitat color which looks fantastic, especially with the lighter green accents! I get compliments on it all the time. That being said, I'm 5'7 and 110 lbs - I got the small, which fits well. I wouldn't order a size up like others are suggesting. It's a little shorter in the length than I would prefer, but the medium was definitely too big so stick to your true size.
Monica at Moosejaw on 10/06/2009

"AWESOME!"

Rating:*****
I purchased this pullover after owning one in college for 4 years and I wore it so much it began to bite the dust...I recently got this one in the white chocolate color and have been wearing it so much recently. It's super comfortable. If you want to wear layers underneath, I suggest ordering up a size, it runs slightly small. I'm 5'3", 125 lbs and the medium was perfect enough to fit a long sleeve shirt under it.
Kim at Moosejaw on 10/06/2009

"GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!"

Rating:*****
Not only is this jacket eco-friendly, but it also is super comfortable. It is easy to move in and keeps your body well insulated and warm. It also acts well as a good layer underneath a larger jacket. The pockets on the sides are a cozy place to keep your hands. The front pocket serves as extra storage for I.D.'s and credit cards. All around awesome and warm jacket for everyday use.
Spencer at Moosejaw on 10/14/2009

Live in it

Rating:*****
I'm really picky when it comes to fleece and I couldn't be happier with this purchase! I bought this fleece in the burnt orange color and it's perfect right now for Fall. Every time I wear it I get comments on it. It's warm but not too hot... good ventilation. I am really hoping to buy it in a few more colors so I can live in it.
CaseyBee at Patagonia on 11/07/2008

Negative Reviews:

Looks great, but a poor re-tool of the original

Rating:**
While my decades old Synchillas are still going strong, this version ripped the first time out. The fabric is thin, and a quick snag on a branch produced a two-inch tear. Also the pockets are similar to the older Marsupial style, which I didn't like. Looks are great, but it just didn't hold up to minor wear and tear.
az88 at Patagonia on 11/14/2008

Worst fleece I have ever bought

Rating:*
Don't waste your money--this is too lightweight to provide any warmth, and the fit is very boxy, and unflattering. There are lots of better fleeces, and layering options out there than this overpriced mess.
