Supplex nylon panels down the sides and under the sleeves reduce bulk and provide a slim fit with a minimal weight of only 17.7 oz. This Patagonia perennial favorite blends classic styling with some great features - pretty awesome. The Retro-X jacket has a fleece-lined collar, protective wind flaps, and two zippered hand-warmer pockets to keep digits toasty. My GF really liked the Retro-X fleece. But now she's my X-GF after that other dude came into the picture. Home wrecker, totally broke the bro-code.

Great Product!

This is a great jacket. So far I have only tested it at the farm I work at in the summer, but it's performance so far has put it on my packing list for a backpacking trip in two weeks. I am 5' 9" with a slim, athletic build, and though I was worried that the small would be too small, it seems just about right for me. I can fit a hoodie underneath no problem. The sleeves could be slightly longer because I have long arms, but they are honestly just fine, and I wouldn't want them to peek out from under my raincoat.

Love it! Very flattering!

Not that we get alot of lot of cold weather down here in Houston, but I LOVE my new North Sea Patagonia jacket-- it's a flattering, sleek looking fleece, nice high collar that flatters the face/neck... great for casual or I even throw it on sometimes on the way out to dinner... it's slightly stiff at first but then loosens up once you've worn it a few times... it is on the snug side, so it might be a good idea to buy one size up... A definite must have!!!

warm & cute!

This is a classic piece that can be casual or dressed up depending on what you pair it with. Very warm and cozy without being too bulky. I always worried that it would get pilly over time but I've since learned that as long as you don't throw it in the dryer it shouldn't do that. I would recommend sizing up in this style- I'm a small in all my other Patagonia items but I bought a medium in this.

even better than expected

I got the jacket beacause I am the mom of a collegiate xc and spring track athlete. I attend many of the meets and needed something for chilly fall & always windy spring seasons. This jacket meets all expectations. it blocks the wind like nothing I've ever owned. I like it's tapered fit but can see how it might not work on all body types. I could not be happier with this purchase

Sleek! Sharp!

I walk throughout the winter, and this product is perfect with a small layer underneath. Windproof. Waterproof. Nice fit on the sides. I would highly recommend it!

Negative Reviews:

Disappointed

I was so excited to order this jacket, in spite of its high price. It just looks so yummy in that nice cream-colored berbered fleece! I couldn't wait to try it on. But, when I did I was immediately disappointed. This is NOT a yummy and comfortable Patagonia, like my 3 others. This is stiff and uncomfortable. The size Small was correct (I wear a 4), but the lining is stiff nylon mesh that is uncomfortable with a short sleeve shirt on. Since it's cute on the outside, I tried it on with a long sleeve top to give it another chance. It is still stiff and uncomfortable with a long sleeve top! Also, there is not enough arm/shoulder room for activities. I am so disappointed, as this appeared to be just what I was looking for. Why couldn't Patagonia make this with the same soft fleece lining as the exterior? Perhaps they did it to protect from wind, but that's not what people buy these for, and people want comfort. I will go back to wearing my old super-comfortable stained Columbia fleece (which was less than half as much), until I find what I am looking for. Bummer... :(

Very disappointed

I was excited to see that Patagonia revamped this jacket and finally got rid off the pocket over the chest. I do have an older retro-X in M with a pocket and decided to order this one to get the same color but no pocket.
Well, the XL ( i wanted to be able to wear heavy sweaters under it) was smaller than my M from years ago. I do not know who patagonia designs for but the every women is definitely not their model. I usually love their stuff but this jacket was a huge disappointment. The shoulders are very small and mine are not big by any means. It is also very tight around the chest but the shoulders are the main issue.
So, if you decide to order one anyway, make sure you go up a size.

Looks cute, feels uncomfortable

This jacket looks very stylish and warm, and the main reason I got it was because I wanted a jacket in this colour. All the Patagonia products I have purchased in the past have been top notch quality, but this one had to be the exception.

In addition to feeling tight in the shoulders and short at the waist, the material of this jacket just felt plain cheap and uncomfortable. I was expecting a comfy, warm, and luxurious jacket that I would love to put on for an early morning dog walk, but I just couldn't imagine myself wanting to put this jacket on. Too bad, because I loved the colour and am a big Patagonia fan.

Very small.

Very surprised at the tiny cut of this jacket which was obvious when I took it out of the package... didn't even have to put it on to tell. Very small through the shoulders and body. I'ma slim throughout 5'3, 115# tops. Ordered a medium thinking it would be just right around my cool house and outside as an outer layer on-the-go. No way. This wouldn't even work as a first and only layer! Will return. Maybe it meets the specs but I didn't check them. Very inappropriately sized.

Disappointed

I'll be brief and direct. I'm always an x-small in all my Patagonia gear, this runs small, size up 1 IF you don't wear a thicker shirt/sweater under it. I like to wear this style with a lighter shirt sometimes short sleeved, but with this jacket there is a mesh lining that was not comfortable at all.

Sorry - don't like at all

I just popped this jacket in the mail to return and would not recommend it. I'm a bit surprised by the reviews I read, which implied that it was cozy and comfortable. I thought it was quite stiff and uncomfortable. Frankly, it also looks a bit too much like a cookie monster costume - rather corny looking.
