A Best Friend till the End

Rating:*****
Not only is this product a piece of Patagonia history, it is a recollection of my everyday life – a companion, tried and true. I own the Stonewash w/ Chili Red trim version from FA08. It is sophisticated and stunning. I love the slight tonal aggression that these products display with offset trim colors. The lycra binding along the cuffs and waist really cleans up the garment and puts that extra finishing touch as to why Patagoina clothing is the best. Not too much, not too little. It is just perfect. If I had to choose one piece of Patagonia clothing to wear for the entire "California" winter, this would be it. Looks terrific with jeans, khakis and/or shorts. I even wear it over my wetsuit in those SF OB foggy mornings! The designers and developers did a really good job keeping the fit a real classic - something to swallow you whole and love you all over. I highly recommend this product to anyone - big, small, short, tall, young or old. It will be your best friend till the end.

"the best product on the line. Patagonia offers the best winter clothing"

"I now have 3 Retro X Jackets. I bought the first in Ushaia, Argentina about 7 years ago. This is an older style Retro X without the chest pocket and a slightly trimmer fit than the modern Retro X. I loved my first Retro X so much that I bought a second one. Just to spread the wear and tear. The new ones have a regular fit and feel a little bit bulky and stiff when new. Don't feel put off by that, they only get better with use and a few washings. IMO the Retro X looks better than anything the competition dishes out, don't forget this is the classic original. I

Best Sweatshirt Ever

Rating:*****
I have three of Snap-T's, one of which is pretty old, and they hold up like no one's business. My Snap-T was my first piece of Patagonia clothing, purchased about 4 years ago, and I remember thinking "WHY am I spending THIS MUCH on something I could by at Old N@vy for $20???!" After a few wears and washes, I understood that not all fleece was created equal. The Patagonia fleece really resists piling, and the ultra-thick material is so nice to wear. I have one of these with me everywhere I go. PERFECT!

classic patagonia product

Rating:****
I purchased my first synchilla snap-T several years ago and I know it will never go out of style and will last forever it seems. At first the jacket is super cozy, very soft fleece but just like any fleece it loses its sort of smooth fleece look and feel, but that happens. It's a men's fit...I am approx size 6 female and wear a small in this product very comfortably. Again, a classic and durable patagonia product that goes anywhere and will never go out of style. Everyone should own one of these.

"Like A Warm, Environmentally Friendly Hug From Your Mommy"

Rating:*****
I own a LOT of basic fleece from different manufacturers but this is the softest by far. Even better, 86% of it is made from recycled soda bottles/recycled polyester so with this one I don't have to feel as bad about my fleece addiction being so detrimental to the planet. The fit is relaxed so I opted to size down to keep it from being too bulky and I'm glad I did. The fit and finish of this product is great. Get one while its still cold and wrap yourself in a fuzzy cloud.

How do you stay in business?

Rating:*****
I think I was in my 20's when I purchased my synchilla pullover from Patagonia. Today, at age 53, it is still going strong. It has been on camping trips at 14,000 feet in Colorado and on various ski trips from Aspen to Steamboat. Now, as my wife and I raise three kids, it is use to less rigorous activity as it warms me up on those cool, rare 50-degree winter days in Fort Lauderdale. Can a garment really become a friend? Either I'm getting senile, you make a great product, or both.

warm, roomy, stylish

Rating:****

I bought this last year because my cousin recommended it to me and I have been pretty pleased with it. The fleece is soft, warm, and comfy, and the jacket is stylish. The only complaint I have is the super roomy fit. I am 6'0" 140 lbs and the small is too roomy to fit under any of my other jackets. For this reason, I have never used it for anything other than everyday casual wear. That being said, I really love this fleece for that purpose.

Waited for so long

I've wanted one of these and finally got one! Many years ago I bought a LL Bean pullover I thought was very similar (snap front), and although that piece wore well it just wasn't the Snap-T. Finally, last year my wife said she was sick of seeing the Bean piece and I needed to donate it. She knows best! I've known from trying one on years ago that size large Snap-T fit me--6'1", 215lbs, 45in chest, 35in sleeve, 35in waist--with room for a layer underneath.

Great piece of gear

Rating:*****
I have owned 4 of these over the years, beginning in 1987 (or so). Each one gets better with improved fit and features. I don't wear them out, my kids keep "borrowing" them when they go off to college and all 4 are still in service. Please don't stop making the Synchilla Snap-T; I have one more daughter headed off to school next year and I am sure I will be back for another one.

"I love it! I want another!"

Rating:*****
I love my Patagonia Synchilla Snap-T! It has been great! I have found much use for the jacket! Its so soft you can even sleep in it on those freezing nights. I feel like I look better when i put the jacket on over a simple T! The shipping rates that Moosejaw offers is excellent! I have recommended this website to many of my friends because Moosejaw has the best complete website regarding their products.

Too thick/warm

Rating:***
I have had several Synchilla snap tees thru the years and love the workmanship but alas, I'm sending my latest purchase back. It is just too bulky and heavy (and warm) for daily use in California.

"not my fave"

Rating:***
I actually sent this item back, not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I really just didn't like the color...plus the collar popped up to far and I felt like a dork.
