Patagonia Simple Synchilla Jacket Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I Love This Jacket!

This is without a doubt the softest, most classiest jacket I've ever owned. I do have a problem however, when I use my backpack. It seems that when the backpack rubs against the soft fabric, it rubs some of the fabric off. I'm torn between trading it in for a jacket with a tougher exterior or keeping it until the fabric is worn through, then returning it for another one. I'm new to Patagonia. What sold me on the brand was their "Iron Clad Guarantee".
A little story.
A friend gave me a Patagonia parka that he must have had for at least 20 years. The stuffing started coming out of it, so I took it to the Patagonia store here in Chicago. The salesperson replaced it with a comparable coat. No questions asked. A year later, I decided on something a little more robust. They took the coat back and gave me a gift card for its retail value. That was when I saved up and bought the Tres 3-in1 Parka. I'm a disabled person living on limited means, so for me to pay premium price for a parka is a big deal. That was back in August 2013. In September, I bought this jacket. My thinking is that buying Patagonia is an investment in my future, knowing full well that they really believe in the quality of their product and back up that belief with one of the best guarantees I've seen anywhere. In a throwaway culture where cheapness is endured in the name of consuming more, well, I Love This Company!

Warm, stylish, comfortable

The Synchilla is a great casual jacket for everyday wear to work or when out and about. It blocks the wind well; very warm and soft. The sleeves are a tad longer than I prefer, but that is not a huge issue for me.

What you expect from Patagonia

I didn't expect this pullover to be as nice as it was for the price. Patagonia never disappoints. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these.

Great Fleece

Overall a great fleece jacket but it needs some sort of elastic band or draw string on the bottom to keep it from bulging out.
