| This is a really nice, soft, great fitting vest that provides you with quick core warmth. It's also versatile as you may wear it by itself, over a lighter Synchilla or Capilene, and or under a jacket. It is a smart piece to have on chilly mornings as you wait for the french press to do its job or the percolator to brew. The zippered hand warming pockets are very useful and good for storing small things. You may want to try a size larger than what you regularly wear if you like a bit more room and plan to wear it often, as I do, over the Pima or the Highball Snap Shirt. | |

| This is the classic fleece vest for casual wear. If you are looking for something for serious technical wear, than you'll probably want the R2 vest or something comparable. But if you just want to stay warm and not break the bank, the Synchilla Vest is the one. No-frills, understated styling and the great Patagonia lifetime guarantee to back it up. Ordered one of these on sale from the Patagucci website. Turns out it is my go-to vest. Not fancy, no windblocking, but jeez its durable, the zipper still works 2 years later, and its not pilling after intensive wear. Insulates great for all my outdoor activities, but the bold colors work to throw on top of a nice shirt for a cold day at the office. I'm 6'2 185 and lanky - i wear a medium that fits perfectly. | |

| My wife and I have each owned 3-4 of the Synchilla Vests over the last 20 years. It is perfect for an extra layer over a long sleave shirt here in Colorado when it can be very hot in the sun and freezing in the shade. I wear mine almost every day from Fall to Spring. | The vest is great for the cool days in the South. It's perfect for the chilly days out on the disc golf course. A sweatshirt is too restricting on the arms, so the vest keeps my core warm while giving me free range of motion in the arms. A good deal, very happy with the purchase. | |

| comfy, warm. soft and more wind resistant than R2 material. I have worn it over a T shirt around the house on chilly mornings, to work and walking around the neighborhood on colder mornings. Cons:zipper doesn't quite go all the way up. Like many other Patagonia products, the mesh pockets can catch things like keys. | |

| I now have several Synchilla vests in different colors. I use them for backcountry, sports, casual wear, and travel. I find them the perfect blend of warmth, weight, bulk, and functionality. Also, the moths, don't like Synchilla and the vests can be washed; my wool sweaters are, one by one, going to Good Will. | |

| This vest is pretty warm and very comfortable. I usually wear it under my coat while snowboarding and keeps me very warm. It is cut a little slimmer than most medium regular fits at patagonia so that is one thing I would look out for. Overall though it does the job. | |

This vest is awesome! Feel's great and the price is right! I have washed this vest now about 5 times and it still holds its color and looks good. I have gone outside in 30 degree weather with the vest and tshirt and it has kept me very comfortable. | |
