Common Threads Recycling Program
Research shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Taking into account that worn-out garments are diverted from trash incinerators, making new polyester fiber from recycled garments results in an energy savings of 76% and a CO2 emissions [greenhouse gasses] reduction of 71%, versus creating that fiber from new raw material.

| I got the last year's model and took them to Russia with me. They were just perfect. Very warm in negative degree weather. I thought I would put them away when I got back to California but they've quickly become my favorite pants for lounging around. I only have one pair and sometimes I wear them at home for weeks straight without washing them. I can't bear to part with them for a day. I love the rise, the fit, everything! I really want to get another pair, so I'm waiting for a sale at REI. They're a little too expensive for my student budget. | |

| Just bought these bottoms and the matching top. Slim fit - but "long underwear" should fit snug. Order up a size if you do not want a slim to the skin fit. Yes, the rise is a little low, but I was pretty comfortable (4 stars). I am nearly 5'4 and 140# and was comfy in a small (both bottoms and top). Worn in a hockey rink under layers and plan to try them out on an outdoor run in MN winters soon. I could sleep in them too and plan on purchasing another pair. | |

Capilene 3 tops/bottoms for women make a perfect base layer for outdoor and even indoor wear when temperatures are forty and below. I had to work hard to find the L/XL sizes. With them I don't have to worry about feeling cold any more. They wash fine in cold water, and dry quickly on a hanger. Don't want to ruin them in a dryer. Owning two sets saves me from buying extra outer layer clothing. Thanks to Patagonia for making them, and for Backcountry.com for their terrific sale price. | |

| I got these in medium, loved them so much I got a second pair. 5'6" 140 lbs, wear Pata size 6 or 8 (sometimes 10, carry my weight in thighs), I could have gone for small but they are still slim fitting and light enough to layer easily with everything I need. Love the lower rise that works with streetwear as well as technical pieces and enables me to pack light even for cold weather travel. Decent odor control. | |

| I purchased one pair and I loved them so much, I had to get another. I run with my two dogs every morning and these pants have allowed me to stay warm, without getting overheated. I also wear them as PJs on those cold winter nights. However, they are too thin to wear out by themselves. If you are going to buy a pair, buy two! | |

| A great underlayer. I've worn them snowshoeing under my snow pants, playing football in the snow, under jeans on super chilly days, and even as leggings with boots and a winter skirt! They keep their shape well. I can even wear them under tight fitting, low rise jeans because they're thin and don't come up too high. In winter, I wont leave home without them! | |

Waist sits a bit high, not for lower-rise women's pants. The review I read saying it's low-rise probably refers to the older version that is darker blue. Also, not very stretchy, so I feel a bit immobile and there's lots of friction when putting on or removing pants over it. Otherwise, really warm and breathable and high quality. I wear them everyday. | |

| These bottoms have been exactly what I've been looking for in a cool-weather bottom. They're form fitting (I'm 5'8" and 130lbs), lightweight and keep me warm in these Minnesotan winters! The Small was the perfect size. It's like they were made for me. I like the lower-rise waist; it didn't bulk up with my tops and my softshell pants and jacket. | |

| We ordered the product from Rock Creek one week before our ski trip in Dec 08. The order process was easy. the Patagonia Capilene 3 works real well for our ski trip. It kept me warm through out the entire outdoor ski time. Compare to the full retail price at the outdoor store, rock creek has much better price. | |
