Keep your toes warm on autumn days with the Pearl Izumi Calien Toes. An AmFib waterproof laminate protects you from the elements while thermafleece fabric keeps you warm and comfortable.

Slip on the Pearl Izumi Calien Toes on those slightly cool days to keep your toes toasty warm without the bulk of full shoe covers.

CalienToes provide protection on those days when it’s just cool enough to need a bit of extra warmth on your toes without the bulk of a full shoe cover.

It’s a bit chilly out, but your feet would sweat in full-length shoe covers. Slip the Pearl Izumi Calien Toes over your cycling shoes and obtain waterproof protection and fleecy warmth without going overboard. Lycra binding on the foot and cleat openings provides a snug fit for road cycling shoes, and the AmFIB Softshell laminate shrugs off wetness. *Recommended for shoes with external cleats.

When chilly weather calls for essential warmth for the toes, the Pearl Izumi CalienToes add just the right degree of warmth and protection without the bulk of a full shoe cover.

Warm great, wet, not so much

| Easy to put on and keep your feet warm, yet breath well when it warms up. I just went a 4 hour ride starting at 45 degrees climbing to 60, and back down to 50, and these were very comfortable all day. However, on a previous ride with rain they got soaked (and my toes froze). I would highly recommend you get the Pearl Izumi Wind Shoe Cover for rain. In fact, those are so stretchy you can put them over the Calien Toes if it is cold. Even though the wind shoe covers oddly don't say they are water proof, they are. I left them under a stream of running water and unlike the Calien Toes, they remained completely dry on the inside. However, they are very thin and I doubt they would perform well in cold weather, so I'd suggest having both for cold, and potentially wet rides. | |

Very useful for cool weather riding

| I got the L/XL and they are a tight fit over my Euro 43 shoes. I also have a pair of neoprene booties for really cold weather, but if I'm going on a long ride, and it will be heating up later, they're too hot, and too big to take off and stuff in my pockets. Cycling shoes are generally made to be breathable, but that lets in cold air. These keep the cold air out and make all the difference. I'd also ridden with them (and me) soaking wet, and they still keep the cold air off the toes. If you're going out in sub-freezing temps, get full neoprene. But if you want to keep the edge off on an early morning commute, these can be just the ticket. | |

small but does the job | |

| These half booties are great for cool days >40 degrees. These are easy on and easy off. Small and easy to stow. I wear SPDs and these fit just fine. Only problem is that they wear out quite quickly when I walk around a lot. The frayed ends can then catch on SPD pedals and cause falls (my only complaint). | |

| These covers are perfect on cold morning. You can even tuck a hand warmer in for longer rides. They are so easy to put on & take off. They are small, but do the job. | |

These are pretty nice for chilly days. My cheapo Performance toe covers ripped on me, and these work much better. They're not super warm, but your toes won't freeze in cool weather.

Cozy toes | |

| These are great for those semi-frosty mornings or cooler days. Also great for use in the winter months with triathlon shoes that have lots of ventilation. | |

Cold Weather Riding | |

| I wear them in cold weather cycling 30 to 40 degree weather. They fit perfectly over my cycling shoes. | |

Too Small | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I purchased the L/XL size for my Specialized cycling shoes (size 45, which is equivalent to US Men's 11), and the toe warmers are too small. Specifically, they cover the cleat, making them impossible to wear while riding. I can't say whether or not these toe warmers really do a good job of keeping your feet warm because they're too small. Unfortunately, I bought the largest size available. | |

Didn't work for me | |

| This product looked like a good idea to keep my toes from going numb and the price was right. Trouble was they kept coming off my clip shoes on a trail ride. I ended up leaving them in the woods. | |

| I thought I would give it a try, but not particularly useful. They are not compatible with spd recessed cleats. The bootie creeps over the cleats making it impossible to engage the pedal | |

Good, but limited use. | |

| This works well on slightly chilly days, say high 50's to low 60's. However, anything below about 57 and you'll have pretty cold toes. They run small and are hard to get on at first, but loosen up as you use them. Even though they are of limited use on their own, they add some warmth/wind protection when worn under full shoe covers, which is how I use them most. Low price makes them a decent buy, even if you won't use them all that often. | |

Great for Cool Weather | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Toe covers work great in cool weather and occassionaly in cold weather if you supplement them with toe warmer packs. Elastic around cleat opening seams to wear easily, however I am on my second spring/fall of riding on them and they haven't failed yet. If you tend to ride/commute in weather colder than 35 degF you will want to invest in the full boot shoe covers or winter riding shoes. | |
