| Serviceable, but ridiculously overpriced. These shoes are acceptably comfortable and work fine, but, as is generally the case with cycling equipment, are ridiculously overpriced. For the price one would at least expect leather. Whereas these things are cheap vinyl of the sort used on third-world bootleg sneakers. One can only wonder what their profit margin is on this product! Pearl Izumi, like other manufacturers, is getting away with this simply because they can. Modern pedal systems make cycling shoes a necessity, and rapacious companies use this fact to gouge cyclists. I don't object to free market capitalism, but a little ethical integrity would be appreciated! | |

| Novice spinner - Shoes ran small and I get some toe pinch on the smallest 2 toes. Velcro system works great. I was not educated to the clip styles and so bought these incorrectly, needing an SPD style clip for indoor spinning. Translating the Euro sizes to US is not an exact science and may require actually trying on shoes. | |
