super-useful | |

| In and around houses, where there are lots of chairs and desks and car windows to which this clamp can be attached, it's very useful. I prefer it to either of my 'micro-tripods' and I find it's nice for holding a camera that's waiting to be used, something I would never do with a tripod for fear of knocking it over. What's not to like? It is not as flexible as a true tripod, of course, as your stuck with the altitude of the item to which you've clamped it. It may also prove less useful in the backcountry, where there won't be many appropriate clamping targets. It also takes longer to set up than a micro-tripod. | |
