I bought this for my Sony HDR-CX110 Handycam. It fits the camcorder perfectly with space for an extra battery or two and some sdhc/memory stick cards. It sure is a lot more awesome than a soft case. It has typical Pelican quality, the price is good (less expensive than many soft cases) and it's made in the U.S.A. I'm confident it will protect my little HD camcorder from tougher environments than I'll ever put it through.
At school we always used these pelican boxes as first aid kits. You can fit a lot in there and it really does stay dry. They are easy to open with cold hands and they fit behind your seat with just a little cramming.
This box is the perfect size for your daily essentials, and features an incredibly dry seal. I've been using Pelican cases for years and absolutely love them. If you absolutely have to keep it dry, a Pelican box is unbeatable.
I have pelican cases in several sizes for various purposes and they are bomb proof.
