Petzl's lightest belay/rappel device with Adaptive Rope Control technology
The VERSO is a simplified version of the REVERSO³ offering a lighter and more compact option for climbers looking to further reduce the weight/size of their rack of gear. Save space on your rack with the ultra lightweight and compact Verso belay device from Petzl - a simpler version of Petzl's Reverso 3 device without the anchoring loop and lock-release biner hole. Uses asymmetrical V-grooves that regulate the amount of friction on a rope according to its diameter and condition for Adaptive Rope Control.
Petzl created the Verso Belay Device for lovers of the Reverso who want to lighten their rack. Not only is the Verso 31% lighter than the Reverso, it’s more compact. Whether you’re climbing with a single, half, or twin rope, Petzl’s Adaptive Rope Control technology adapts by increasing or decreasing the braking friction to suit the diameter and conditions. When you’re climbing partner is working the crux, the Verso’s asymmetrical grooved sidewalls decrease friction for ease when taking up slack. Use this belay device with asymmetrical biners for max efficiency.

| i have used a few atc's but this one is a great piece. i used it for about 3 hours at an indoor gym, it doesnt work very well with large static ropes. 11mm. ropes dont fit into the grooves much at all, its more of a work out than belaying. im sure this device will work great on the crag with a smaller dynamic rope. | |

This device is clean, incredibly light and very efficient for belays. I enjoy the simplistic designs of Petzl for the majority of my climbing gear. From harness to belay device to ascenders, I trust Petzl! Now if they will just sponsor me, I'll go pro with their gear! | |

| Doesn't bind up like the cheap madrock belay I had before. Looks snazzy and it's light and cheap. I'll always have one of these. | |
