We all do it, but now when you find that weeks (ok, months) old full reservoir in your bag, you can use the Platypus Cleaning Kit to mend your misdoing. The big brush cleans out the reservoir itself, while the tiny brush scrubs out the drinking tube. Here's a tip if it's super-funky: fill the whole deal with water, then add a denture tablet. Wait fifteen, then scrub and rinse approx. one billion times until the old lady smell is gone.

This cleaning kit works great for the platypus 1L bottle. The brush easily gets to all parts of the bag, except at the top immediately under the opening. The small tube brush is perfect for cleaning the inside of normal drinking straws that I reuse. | |

Thank goodness for the tube cleaner! I've been having problems with mold developing in the tube, near the mouth piece and this kit completely got rid of it. The larger brush is also great to get out any left over Nuun or Gu slime. | |
