To make the receptor Bug helmet with audio, Poc has taken the most advanced free ride helmet out there, Receptor+, and altered it especially for snow sports. The patent pending system with double overlapping shells lets air in and heat out but keeps sharp objects on the outside. Ventilation can also be closed for cold days. An advanced outer shell makes for a tough and durable construction and provides excellent protection with help from the in-mold liner in polycarbonate and EPS. The included ?bankers brim? boosts the style. Included accessory The included ?bankers brim? will save your goggles from scratches and from snow or water running down the helmet. The BUG series was developed to meet the demands of today?s skiers that are stretching the limits beyond what was thought to be possible only a few years back. The quality of skiing in any local back country or park is just amazing. And again, the need for protection has never been greater. The BUG series was derived from POC?s groundbreaking research and products on how to improve protection and performance.
POC developed the Receptor BUG Audio Helmet for aggressive shredders who consistently push the boundaries of riding, be it in the park or AK. This versatile helmet features customizable ventilation, Skullcandy audio, and a “bankers brim” to boost style. An advanced system of double-overlapping shells uses semi-hard plastic to deflect tree branches and surface impacts while helping control your helmet’s interior climate. POC constructed the interior of the Receptor BUG helmet with an in-mold polycarbonate and EPS liner for excellent impact protection and comfort, so you can focus on getting inverted without fussing with the fit of your helmet.

Today’s skiers are going bigger than anyone thought possible just a few years ago. The bigger and crazier you go, the more protection you need when it all goes wrong. POC developed the Bug Series with this in mind. The dual shell system protects your melon from sharp objects (sticks, rocks, falling chairlifts, parts of other skiers). There is an advanced ventilation system that can be opened or closed to regulate temperature. To round it out, Skullcandy provides the sound while an included banker’s brim provides the style.

| I have been skiing for 26 years and my mother was a stickler and made me wear a helmet at a young age. Therefor, I have a lot of helmet wearing experience as well as a background in racing. Needless to say I have worn a lot of helmets in my career. However, the POC helmets have integrated all the aspects of safety and comfort into the product and it shows. They are the safest ski rated helmet on the hill (slopes) and after only one day of wearing it you will be comfortable and unbothered. Use your head and protect it with the best. POC is a new company, but founded by a group of spinal doctors from Sweden who set out to make a more protective helmet, and they have succeeded. Look no further, as some of the best skiers in the world are wearing these helmets not only because they are cool, but because they work the best and that is why we are all wearing them to begin with right? | |

| We bought this for our 9 yr. old son, he loves the fit and the fact he can listen to his Ipod while he's skiing and we feel like he is very safe with this wonderfully made helmet. | |
