The water-resistant Polar(r) AW200 Activity Monitor features innovative accelerometer technology. When walking or running your body motion produces impulses, which the sensor is sensing. The faster you move, the more impulses are produced. The sensor senses impulses 10 seconds after starting and only if the body movement is constant and strong enough. The monitor records data during action to track activity over time and monitor progress.

Good features, easy to use...but.... | |

| Nice watch, features worked great, easy to read dial, but the watch face is huge! It doesnt fit on my wrist, females beware this watch is designed for a man, with a 1.75in clock face diameter, and since the strap is integrated into the side of the face it cannot wrap any tighter on the top than 3 in. I cannot wear this watch on my wrist, I have to push it up my arm about 4 in. The strap is made from non-slippery material, it grips well. You will need to set your altimeter with a begining altitude, so be prepared to check alt measurement for where you are when setting it. | |
