Great active knickers

Rating:****
These knickers are great, and I use them for just about everything. Casual attire, tree/regular climbing, cycling... pretty much anything active. The only reason why these guys didn't get a 5 star review is because the knee hem tends to restrict my movements a little if left below the joint, Prana could have easily incorporated a draw string or a tie to alleviate that... but I'm of a slightly more muscular build around the legs due to cycling and hockey, so that also could be a factor involved. That aside, a great pair of 'adventure slacks'.

Great for touring

Rating:*****
I purchased two pair to wear on my China tour. That's all I needed since the weather was wonderful and most situations called for casual wear. While I was wearing one pair I could easily launder the other pair when needed in the hotel bathroom. They would dry overnight and be available to wear the next morning. Great purchase!

Different than last purchase

Rating:****
My last pranas had a belt which helped a lot with the size fit. Otherwise they are excellent for hanging out. A little more than shorts and less than pants. Makes for a perfect attire for casual or more dressy occasion. They look and feel great. Something to put on for the entire weekend.

Negative Reviews:

Different Type of Cotton!

Rating:**
These are some pretty comfy 3/4s if you're looking to lounge around or walk in. But beware of the type of cotton and the waist. As a climber who lives in the tropics, these will not do.

Cotton: This is more of the papery type, and hence it doesn't seem to breathe as well. I live in Singapore now, and as soon as I start to sweat, these pants stick to me and I can't climb in them. They catch around my knee and it restricts my movement.

Waist: This is NOT your standard prana "drawstring" waist. They are similar to the Mojo shorts, but only 2 small elastic pieces above both hips. Hence, the sizing is a bit bigger than normal. Again, for active use it's not the best, but if you're just sitting around or walking about, then not bad.

These aren't BAD 3/4s per se.... but be aware of what you're using them for and what climate you're using them in. I think if I brought these back Stateside, I wouldn't have the sticky issue and they'd be fine.

Knicker Fan Review

Rating:***
Prana is a good name and my other Prana knickers were so comfortable that I bought this pair. Waist was listed as 33-35. I am at the upper end of that and they are still a little large. If I was at my normal 34, they would fall down. I plan on keeping them anyway. Work well for movement in Yoga.
