Prana Quinn Dress

Hate shorts in our desert heat, so I'm always looking for easy care, easy wear summer dresses and skirts. This dress is it! Just as other reviewers have written, don't judge this dress from how it looks on the hanger. The back is perfect and the dress almost never fails to bring questions about where I got it or compliments.

I'm 5'9",145-150lbs,36C. I order large in most things, and large in this works fine for me. It hits me just above the knee. I've had it two months, so it's been washed several times, but I line dry it. It's wearing well and keeping it's shape. It is light and comfortable to wear in 100+ degree temps at home and worked great during summer travels on the east coast and to Bermuda with temps in the high 80's with 80% humidity. I have several of the prAna dresses, but the Quinn is the one I go to most often, so I now own it in two different patterns.

My only wish for this dress would be inclusion of some removable pads in the shelf bra. I'd rather have the pads then count on the pattern of the fabric for coverage (which it does pretty well depending on the placement, which differs dress by dress). That little extra support/coverage would be great as having to wear a strapless under this dress would ruin the light feel to me. Problem solved by stealing some pads from other things I own and pinning them in when needed.

My husband surprised me with this dress after reading the reviews and thought the dress would fit nicely. Did it ever! The way my body is shaped makes buying dresses, nonetheless buying dresses online very difficult. I am 5'11" 150lbs, lean athletic build, with a slightly shorter torso and difficult to shop for long limbs. The dress falls just above my knee.
I have a 34D chest and about a 31" waist. It hugs my figure in just the right areas!
Because it has a shelf bra, I do choose not to wear another bra, however I am searching for athletic strapless bra. In my opinion it needs to have a little bit more support.
Even though I have broad shoulders, the straps are surprisingly flattering. I just love the way it shows off my back!
I have spent an entire day in sunny DC completely comfortable in the breathable fabric. This dress allowed me to look the part for different occassions throught the day: zoo, museums, and a nice dinner.
I am constantly being asked where I got this dress!
This is an excellant dress if you enjoy easy to wear, comfortable, easy to clean, casual/date night ready, multi purpose clothing.

I'm 6'1", 34DDD (yeah), usually wear an L but in Prana wear an XL in Quinn dresses and tops. I bought the XL in this to fit chest and hips, and added darts and took it in at the waist. (Otherwise it would have been very baggy through the waist, but a lot of things are on me.) It's extremely flattering. I wear a strapless bra with it, the bra doesn't show. This is a very flattering and casual-yet-pretty dress to wear when you want to wear a dress and look pretty, but don't want to look out of place. (Which is convenient in Colorado where people wear fleece and jeans to the opera.) It's sexy without showing cleavage and pretty yet casual; I'm wearing it with my strappy little dark pink Merrell sandals on a date tonight.

It comes to just above my knee which is fine. I imagine it would be just below the knee on most women.

FYI, the Patagonia Morning Glory fits me great as well, I take it in a little at the waist, and can wear it without a bra. (Full disclosure, though, I add darts to the bust in that dress too.)

I am 5'3" with a 34DD bust and broad shoulders. I normally wear a size 6 - sometimes 8. I wanted a couple of summer dresses appropriate for outdoor play but also nice enough to take on resort and cruise vacations. I bought and returned the patagonia margot dress. It was just too low cut. I'm a mom and need to be able to bend over, run and play even in a dress; I need something that doesn't put cleavage on display.

Though there is little hanger appeal for this Prana Quinn dress, I tried it on because of the higher neckline. Don't judge this dress on the hanger! Try it on. It's really flattering and the neckline is adjustable. The shelf bra provides a bit of support and the busy print hides what needs to be hidden. I found the Medium to give a perfect, figure conscious fit. I also tried on the large and that gave me more coverage in the bust plus gave an easier, more flowy fit. Both sizes hit me right at the bottom of the kneecap. I also liked the modest neckline and easy fit of the merrell alexandra dress.

I snagged this dress while it was on sale earlier this summer, once it arrived and I finally wore it I scrambled to pick up another one right before sale ended. Now I wish I would have just gotten every single color that was available.

I am barely 5'5" and about 155lbs, 32 C, apple curvy shaped. I don't need a bra with this dress. I got a size medium and it fits true to size. It's amazingly comfortable and very very flattering. The 2 designs/colors I got (I forget the names now but one was mostly black and white with some off yellow color in the design, one was mostly torquois) help to hide any flaws like that pooch you get when you eat junk for too long lol :) I like the length, it's long enough for sitting comfort yet short enough that it's flirty.

I REALLY hope they don't get rid of this style of dress any time too soon. I can't imagine improving on it (but then again I am no fashion designer nor do I play one on tv).

I was pleasantly surprised by this dress. First, it runs a little large. I ordered the large and it was too big in the bust, which NEVER happens to me! The medium was perfect. I am 5'7", about 150lbs, with a very large chest (bigger than DD). The medium hits me just at the knee, and, miraculously, I can actually wear it without a bra casually, and with a strapless it is even ok for work! I can't wear anything without a bra. It has good coverage in the chest and showcases the shoulders and upper back nicely. The fabric is very soft but not sheer.

This dress can be very casual for the beach or dressed up with heels and a jacket or cardigan for work or a night out. I got the Citron Retro and it looks very nice with my fair skin and red hair. I tried the black too but it was a little plain for me. All in all, this dress was a little expensive but I am very happy with it.

This is absolutely the cutest dress ever! I am about 5'9", 140-145 with a C size chest. I am a medium in almost everything (size 6-8) and this medium fits PERFECTLY! It is the perfect length (just above my knee). The straps are too cute and make your back look great. The built in bra is a nice touch and I could go without a bra, however, I choose to wear a strapless anyway... gives me a little more lift. The fabric drapes perfectly around my stomach and hips (my flaw areas) and doesn't cling at all. I have gotten so many compliments on it. I haven't washed it yet, so I can't comment on that. So far, I can't ask for a better dress. I bought the Lilac Geo colored one and I'm thinking about buying another. I am usually a jeans/shorts/t-shirts/flip flops girl, not too many dresses. So, the fact that I paid this price for a dress says a lot about it. I have a feeling I'm going to wear it a lot!

I am an hourglass figure, ladies 36D/38C, broad shoulders. I normally avoid anything polyester, retro and empire waists. This dress, however, is awesome!! The fabric is nice and soft, does not snag. The green design is really ugly on the hanger, but looks great on. So does the pink/orange version - I have black hair, pale skin(I tried these on out of desperation in the store.)Color /shades on model online are accurate. The fit is nice: enough space for the ladies, very supportive, bold design hides any "headlights on", and then fits closely (not too tight) around waist and hips, flares out around knees. Gives a very nice shape, it's not a sack. You might need a strapless bra if you want to go dancing in it. Washes well in cool water, gentle cycle, comes out almost dry. No pilling. Dresses that did NOT fit me: Patagonia Iliana & Margot. Prana Sonja was ok, ladies did not look as well, would need bra.

I really like the direction of cut in this new style prAna has taken! Enough flattering cut outs to keep you cool and leaving the mystery unrevealed. I too am curvy at 5'5" 134 and a 34DD. Cute little summer dressed were just that-Little! until this beauty came on the scene. The drape is perfect and the length is perfect for me. I can bend over and not flash anyone, as I found out today when I dropped something and reflexively picked it up! I do not fall out of the top and I can easily move around in this dress. This dress will be my go to dress for all of my out of country summer destinations this year. The cut also lends itself well to a sweater top off should the occasion or need present itself. Please continue to make more covering dresses just like this one!
