Machado tested and Reef approved.
The Reef Men's Machado Classic Sandals mirror surfer Rob Machado's laid-back style. These flip-flops don't have built-in blenders or hidden briefcases to store stuff in. They're just comfy, low-profile sandals for summer. Reef made the Machado Sandals with recycled car tire rubber outsoles, so we can start making a dent in the used-car-tire piles dumped around the US.

Rob's a no-frills kind of guy. He's got his own sense of style that is pure Machado. So, you know the men's Reef® Machado Classic sandal is going to be awesome. Recycled tire outsole and water-based adhesives answer your concerns about the environment, while the cushy foam bed answers your concern for comfort.

Good Shoe | |

Ive had this shoe for about 5 and a half months now and I really like it. It feels great, holds up well and makes me feel a little greener every time I put it on. Hate to say it but I havent exactly been kind to the shoe and have worn it in some rough situations. It still is as solid as when it came out of the box. It is real comfy to. Only two gripes...it gets a little slippy when wet and it has started to warp occasionally. Nothing major, just a little curl upwards in the toe and heal. Not sure whether its the sun, water, or something else but it still works. I really like this shoe

| I bought these after my wife kept insisting I get a pair of sandals for the summer. My previous sandals wore down to nothing in no time, so I was pretty intent on getting a pair of sandals that had enough material to last a long time. These sandals have a great, thick sole that lends to the comfort of walking in them as well as the longevity of the product. The fact they are eco-friendly is definitely a bonus, but was not a main concern of mine. The very first day the sandals were a bit stiff, but after that they contoured to my feet perfectly. In fact, I wear them almost every day! | |

These sandals are dope. Using recycled car tires for the soles is what sold me. At first they were a lil tight, but once the leather molded to my foot, its like walkin around on a nice sandy beach 365! Super comfy, super innovative, and most importantly, super steez.

| These shoes are super comfortable. The strap loosens a bit after the first few wears which was good. It was a bit snug in the beginning. I love that they are eco-friendly. The soles look like theyll last forever... or at least 40K miles. | |

| Zappos is so great about sending things out right away. We received our order promptly. We got exactly what we ordered. Others have said that the color is not accurate, but the picture we ordered from matched what we got. | |

The Machado Classic is a great flip flop. has that leather feel you get from Rainbow with the Reef look and comfort. This is also Earth friendly with the super grippy recycled tire sole. Looking forward to summer.

| These are not the best shoes. I've been wearing Oakley sandals for several years, and everyone I know claims that Reefs are the best so I thought I'd try them out. Obviously they look great and the recycled materials are pretty cool, too. So far they lack anywhere near the comfort of my old Oakley sandals. As with any shoe, I fully expect a break-in period, but I'm still getting an uncomfortable rubbing from the strap on the inside of my left foot. I probably won't buy Reef shoes again without a serious test drive. | |

| I ordered these because I have been wearing Reefs for many years. I thought I would go green by ordering these (they are supposed to be made from recycled tires and such). I have worn them many times and the soles are still very stiff. (I think the rubber from the tires does it.) Also the part that goes up over the top of your foot is still stiff. They do look very nice, but I wouldn't buy them again. | |

| Too narrow - I bought these for my son who is away at college. I took a chance because he did not try them on. He said they look great but was too narrow and the sides of his feet hang off the sides of the shoes. He does have wide feet so that is part of the problem. | |
