Standard length and comfortable wrist loop. The best thing about this leash is how thin and light weight it is. Washes easily, dries quickly. We bought both colors because we like them so much. One con, the plastic buckle on the wrist end, used to make the whole leash a "loop" when not on the dog, broke pretty quickly. No big deal, though. You can just hook the metal part to the webbing loop and throw it over your shoulder.

Leash seemed flimsy. I have a high-energy golden retriever. This leash did not work out for us. I was very disappointed.
