Worked well for my overnight | |

| I hesitated to purchase this product because it had gotten a bad review (a previous model that was only [$]). However, I think REI made some improvements in design: the poles are shock-corded, and there are two small stakes to use to anchor the frame part of the bug hut to the ground so it won't flip over. I don't think the fact that the bug hut doesn't encase a sleeping bag all the way around is a big deal - I don't think mosquitoes are going to find a way to crawl on the ground and up inside. Would no-see-ums? I don't know.I used this in Shenandoah on an overnight in July and was bug free inside, it is light and easy to set up. I used it under a tarp and it was great to have such good ventilation and not worry about mosquitoes. | |
