| I bought this bag for a cross country bicycle ride. It was a big bag and I could fit my tent, sleeping bag and camp equipment into one bag. For 3 weeks twice a day I would fill and empty this bag, lug it from the campsite to the truck and then out to the new site every night. It was filled with about 35lbs of stuff and it was about a mile hike each way. The zippers held up nicely, the buckles are made out of plastic and they all broke within the first week which made the sling strap useless, luckily the bags handles held. The bottom of the bag wore through in 2 different places with holes about the size of a dime. The loss of the sling strap made it difficult to manage the bag and the bike to and from the campsites, the holes in the bottom made me paranoid about the bag ripping which it never did. If the handles had a little more length then I could have used them as shoulder straps but they were too short. Overall not terrible but certainly not good or even average. I give it two stars becuase I think it would hold up well in less demanding situations. I think if its going to be light duty then this bag is a good bargain, but if its daily use for an extended period of time I'd spend the money and buy a Northface bag. | |
