Perfect bag! | |

| When we don't need to go lightweight, my partner and I do a lot of car-camping or short hike camping with my family. We wanted a couple of good value, warm, quality bags for these times, and a friend recommended the Siesta Double from REI. Thank goodness! It is nice to be able to cuddle when we are in our "big" tent (incidentally, the REI Kingdom 6 which rocks too). I am a warm sleeper and my partner is usually cooler. This allows me to partially unzip on my side and at my feet, while my partner stays all zipped up. Plus, my body heat in the same bag keeps her warmer, so we can usually sleep with the 40 degree side up, except when it's very cold. This bag is warm enough for us into the "teens" on those summer trips when there is unexpected cold. The thing I can't believe about this bag is how roomy it is. We are both big and athletic, and this bag is not constricting at all--we both have plenty of room. This bag is comfortable, good-looking, and durable. Plus, we have the option to loan out or use 2 separate bags, all for this low of a price--that is crazy. Forget cheap department store bags people...give the REI Siesta Double (or event the Siesta) a try...you will spend a little more, but what you get for the money is well worth it. | |

Great value and highly versatile! | |

| At first I thought it was just a large sleeping bag until I realized it really was two sleeping bags attached together. It is plenty warm with two people inside on a brisk spring morning. This bag is highly versatile. It has two temperature ratings; just have the temperature you want be on top. If you are not interested in sharing the bag or are going solo, the sides zip apart and become two individual bags. For the price, it is hard to find two sleeping bags that have this much to offer. It is lightweight, though it comes with a gigantic cotton storage sack that is the size of a trash can. I would recommend two compression sacks so that they are ready to go as two individual sleeping bags instead of one monster bag. It is a bit difficult to adjust the hood when attached as a double. But we love it....great for couples who want to snuggle! | |

Great Bag Great Value! | |

| My wife and I needed a bag that was both versatile and without the high price tag. We found it! For those that like to be close when camping and sometimes need your own bag this is the deal! Once you learn the zipper system you won't be sorry you purchased this product. It's just like putting on a ski jacket. I must say we had to call REI for assistance with the zipper system. But once they explained how the zipper system worked I felt like a heal. Remember it's not rocket science. | |

Nice Bag | |

| I used this a while back with my husband and it was wonderful. The only problem is that it was a bit hard to zip. I took the bags apart and used only one this past weekend when I went camping with my daughter. It worked well. I am not sure if I need to break in the zipper. It is also a bit heavy and large but that is to be expected. I would buy it again. | |

warm, but heavy | |

| This bag performs well car camping. Zipper isn't as complicated as others have said. Performed very well even with my doberman walking all over it. NOT a backpacking sleeping bag. WAY too heavy to carry, and doesn't compress small enough. My wife's half barely fit in her Osprey 65 with everything else. Got it for very cheap at the last sale, but will be spending more to get a bag for backpacking. | |
