Rei Tech T-Shirt

I'm an avid adventurer and RELY on this shirt. The Tech T is my absolute favorite shirt for everything; casual, backcountry, travel etc. However, I'm really disappointed that the style and the fit of this shirt has been changed with the addition of seams on the front and it no longer fits me.

I do understand that this style fits many women better than previous style which was criticized for the "cylindrical" fit. But the truth is that some of us ARE built like cylinders and don't like shirts with "baggy" fronts.

It is simply unrealistic to expect that one style of Tee Shirt will fit both well endowed women as well as those of us who aren't. Therefore, I think REI should produce this great shirt in two different styles that will fit BOTH body types.

To REI Buyers - When choosing colors for ALL tops please keep in mind that different skin tones and hair color greatly impact what colors are flattering. Please become familiar with the four different color "seasons" (described in "Color Me Beautiful" by Carole Jackson) and provide at least one color that is in each "season's" color palette, something the current color choice does not.

I would rely on this shirt as a base layer for hiking and backpacking as well as casual wear and travel. However I'm stuck with my old, somewhat ratty, ones as I haven't liked any of the recent colors. I just don't look good in pale blue, pink, lavender, light green, white or grey.

Please provide some alternative color choice for those of us who prefer warm rich colors; warm reds and oranges (subdued not garish) darker teal blues and greens etc. Please provide a good photographic color, one that contrasts well with the natural environment but doesn't stand out like a "sore thumb".

Got this as a base layer for when I go backpacking. This shirt did awesome. It was comfortable when I was backpacking around Goat Rocks and the parts of the PCT.
The only exception was that it felt a little big on my frame. I'm 5'2'' and weigh 120 lbs., I got a small and it still felt a little big on me. But the extra fabric was actually a good thing when you strap on a backpack. Your shirt won't ride up your torso when you hike.

Loved it! The fit is both comfortable and flattering. I took this shirt to Bhutan for two weeks. It was great for layering, stayed neat looking throughout travel and washing, and was very comfortable. The only caution is to check the sizing chart carefully. I also bought an REI long sleeve shirt, and required different sizes for the two tops despite the fact both were REI brand.

I really like this shirt. It fits well, and you can be active without feeling uncomfortable.

I would really like if the shirt was available in yellow - a pale yellow that is not too neon like most other yellow exercise clothes!

I have Multiple Sclerosis and wear these several times a week. They help keep me from over heating. I sometimes even use them to sleep in..as they keep me more comfortable through "night sweats".
