Expensive.....But worth every ounce!!

Rating:*****
Been trying to pare down my pack weight, and this is a great start! It has replaced my (Favorite) bigger, and four times as heavy, double-wall stainless steel mug. About thrice as light as my large plastic double-wall. It fits nicely into my cook-set. In very cold weather, does not keep beverages warm for very long (longer than single wall of course), but capacity is such, that it shouldn't be a major issue for most. I'd bring my bigger mugs for winter camping. Kickin' it around the camp fire with tea or cocoa, is fine, but a wee bit small for morning joe... no prob, just have another cup. Great for miso on snow-shoe treks. Shaving weight really adds up, and shouldn't equate to skimping on enjoying good hot beverages.!

Get it with a purpose

Rating:****
the mug is clearly not the biggest or most versatile that I could have bought for about the same $ but given that I wanted something metal, small, light, insulating, and which I could use trailside or in the event cook gear became seperated from me the REI tiware mug caught my eye. I chose the double wall (lid included and without complaint) for its insulation even though that might not be helpful in an emergency cook scenario. I suspect the lid will not last forever, but it performed for my week long outing in the white mt's and with some care I dont think I need to worry. There are replacements available.

my favorite little cup!

Rating:*****
I love this little cup! I got it for my beloved hot cocoa and marshmallows out on the trail but I use it at home, too! I love the size, it's very light weight, the handle is good, and the insulation is amazing. I never drink out of the lid (too timid of burning my tongue!) but it helps keep the cocoa warm while I mix up breakfast or clean up after dinner. I thought it was a little spendy at first but now I'm so smitten, I don't mind!

Clever gift when personalized

Rating:*****
I purchased two for a wedding gift and took them to a trophy shop to be engraved - one for the bride and one for the groom who are avid hikers (note: jewelry store equipment not geared for larger rounded surfaces -- that's why you take it to the trophy shop).

I also use mine in my auto cup holders because it fits AND it won't tip over like the taller mugs do

Great..... BUT....

Rating:****
Great cup, compact, VERY light and well insulated.
BUT why the stupid take out coffee cup lid?? When the lid gets hot it expands and dribbles every where, like you shirt, the desk, or in the car.

Message to the designers:PLEASE make a better lid!!!

Almost right except...

Rating:***
This is a good light-weight replacement for my plastic mug. Before heading out for a weekend trip, I tried it at home with some coffee. Was disappointed when the loose-fitting lid allowed a dribble or two to leak down the front as I drank. REI gladly replaced it with what appeared to be a tighter-fitting lid. Out on the trail, after the coffee heated it up, the lid was loose as before. It's not a big deal I suppose: after all, I'm pretty messy to start with! Just a shame that a [$] mug doesn't have a better-fitting 15 cent plastic lid.If not for the lid, I'd easily give it 4 1/2 stars only because it could stand to be just a shade larger... 12 ounces would be perfect!

Little on the small side, lid leaks.

Rating:***
Very nice cup but Evernew needs to go back to the drawing board on the lid. Since it is a double wall cup you are going to drink hot liquids from it. The lid is made of plastic and when you put the lid on with hot liquid inside the lid expands and becomes loose. This causes your morning coffee to dribble all over your face. Also the cup is on the small side.

GOOD . . . UNLESS YOU LIKE TEA

Rating:***
This mug is great and lightweight, and if all your drinking is coffee or hot chocolate in the morning then this mug is great. Although for anything that requires a more delicate palate it definitely leaves a metallic taste. If you are like me, and like to have your tea in the morning, then I would pass on this mug.

The lid is FAIL!

Rating:***
Thing works great at keeping things warm for a long time.

BUT the lid leaks and it makes a strange whistle noise when you drink out of it with the lid on.

I just use the lid to help keep hot chocolate hot and keep dirt and leaves out of the cup.

Make a Lid That Fits

Rating:***
Great size and weight. Very durable. Love using it WITHOUT the lid. Use lid only when wearing dark colored or coffee colored clothing. You'd think for [$], a lid could be designed to fit.
