Problem Solved: so it seems
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I previously reviewed this product and gave it two stars, due to the fact that it kept coming apart at the seams. I took it back to REI, and as usual they were very nice and gave me no hastle about returning it. I was unsure if I would replace this product with the same thing or look for something different. However, my mind was made up quickly when I saw the chair in the store. Since I purchased the chair, REI changed the design. In the place where the seams had come apart twice before, it is now a solid piece of material. Due to this change, I don't think that my previous problem will reoccur. I'm glad to see that REI looked at the faults in the product, and made appropriate changes to fix it. As previously stated, this chair is extremely comfortable, and will continue to come with me on future backpacking and river trips. | |

Great Chair | |

| I bought this chair before a week long hike in the Grand Canyon earlier this year. It is definitely worth its weight in gold! Pretty much after day one the rest of my group was enviously eyeing my "recliner" while trying to find the most comfortable rock. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the fiberglass stays/frame could be a little stronger. However I do understand that making chairs, such as this one, lightweight for backpacking heavy duty stays can be sacrificed for the weight. | |

Comfy, but doesn't hold up

| I've used this on river trips and backpacking trips, and love having the chair with me. It is extremely comfortable, lightweight and easy bring along. The stays seem durable and it supports me well. However, I have had trouble with it coming apart at the seams. I am on my second chair, and have had the same experience both times. It's not the fabric that is tearing, but the stitching is not holding up. I'm not sure if I'll give round three a try, or look for something else. | |

Comfy but Questionable Durability

| This is a really comfy chair. The only issue is that one of the seams where the cinch straps meets the chair is ripping out. I've only used the chair a handful of times, and I'm a lightweight, so this chair is definitely going back to REI. | |
