The Ride Fleetwood snowboard doesn't sacrifice performance for size. With lively pop and responsiveness, it offers a fun, forgiving ride for those with bigger feet than budgets.
Some guys ride like they were born with a stick strapped to their feet. The Ride Fleetwood Wide Snowboard won't instantly transport you to expert-dom, but it puts you on the track. The wide style won't let your big dogs hang off the edge, and the radial sidecut uses one radius throughout the whole turn so the Fleetwood's movements are smooth and predictable on the slopes. Carbon laminates give this Ride board plenty of pop, while the thin construction tapers the tip and tail for low swing weight so it's easier to bring your board around during your 180s. NOTE: We can't control the color of board you get, but who doesn't like surprises?
The Fleetwood is the mac daddy of Ride's snowboard lineup, offering impressively bombproof handling, more width and an aggressive, directional twin profile.
Made for advancing riders, the Ride Fleetwood Wide Snowboard keeps your big dogs on the deck while you make your way to expert-dom. Biaxial glass gives you a forgiving ride while you take your skills to the next level, the Foundation Tuned Core adds pop and flex for the park, and the 90A Slimewalls absorb the impact of your stomps.

The Fleetwood is a great board for a rider that is in the entry level or intermediate riding level. The board is going to allow you to learn the basics of riding and progress those skills as you really start to get into riding. Hell, if you've been riding for 15 years and you're looking for a stable board that is going to get the job done you'll love this board too.

Review after one year | |

I bought this board (161cm) for the 08-09 season. I wear size 12 boots and I'm 6'0-235 lbs. I'm also using CAD bindings. First off I was pretty surprised at how different the board felt compared to other boards I ride. It had instant response with no slop. I put on new bindings at the same time so some of that could be the CAD's I have on there. (I was used to Burton Missions before that.) Either way the board is pretty good. It gets some chatter at really high speeds, but not much. I've taken in the park and have had no problems in the pipe (10 foot) or on landing jumps. It doesn't have as much pop as a freestyle board, but it wasn't made for that. Basically it's a great all around board for bigger guys. I would say that the 161 is a great length to get. If you ride a lot of park go shorter, if you bomb down the hill go longer. All in all I'm pretty pleased.

One of the Best boards you can buy

The Fleetwood is a great deck, but if you shop by price you might accidentally skip it over. The Fleetwood is actually just a wide version of the Ride Control. The waist widths on these boards is designed to accommodate a size 10.5 and up. This board is designed for someone just getting into riding through those who have been riding for awhile and are looking for a good ride at a lower price. You can take this deck anywhere on the mountain you want to go. If you're riding on a budget and need a wide deck, this is a great choice to take care of both of those issues.

At 6'3", 230, and with a 12 foot this board is perfect for me! I'm not dropping out of any choppers, but I ride pretty well and put a board through it's paces. This deck can handle anything I throw at it and come back for more. If you're a big-foot, this is your ride!

OK I haven't been able to ride the board yet since there hasn't been snow. However, I must say that I'm a size 14 and I have no issue with the amount of overhang on this board. I cant wait to get on the hill and see how it all works out.

Lethargic at best | |

Rode my buddys 09 Fleetwood at the end of the season last year. He broke his and while it shouldn't have broken at least Ride replaced it. We're both big guys so the Fleetwood fit me but it felt dead, lethargic at best. No response, no pop. It felt like I was riding in quick sand not snow. They changed the sidewalls from 45 degrees to 90, maybe that had something to do with it but I hated this board.
