Rossignol BC X11

Skiing > TelemarkRated: ***** by 2 reviews.

Berg's Ski Shop

Reminiscent of the cuffed leather telemark boots of the pre-plastic boot era, the BC X11 is a burly touring boot designed for long excursions into the backcountry in seek of pristine pow for turns. While these boots are not meant to withstand the torque applied by turning modern fat boards, they can handle the combination of a 3-pin binding and skis such as the Rossignol BC 90 AR or Fischer Boundless.
The BC X11 is the king of current soft three-pin touring boots. Designed to drive wide, lightweight, metal edged backcountry skis, this boot is made to ski hard and perfrom comfortably all day long. Compatible with 3-pin and cable bindings.
The BC X11 features a dual buckle closure with micro-ratcheting adjustability. The inner liner is heat moldable for a truly custom fit. The inner lace locking system keeps your feet locked and in control. The zipperred waterproof cover help keep your feet warm and dry.
The X11 is made for skiing the steeps on any widebody nordic ski. Take these boots into your favorite backcountry shoot and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Marmot Mountain

It´s getting harder and harder to find a traditional leather backcountry boot to use with the wider no-wax metal edge skis. This year we ordered two different stitch down boots and both were cancelled mid summer due to lack of orders. The Rossignol BC X11 is the burliest 75mm boot on the market...short of going to a full plastic boot. It is stiffer both flex and torsionally than others out there and works well with the metal edge nowax skis. It has a front zipper closure to keep snow out, a hinged plastic support cuff, as well as two buckle/straps to cinch everything in place. The price is also very good for this much control whether traversing or turning off trail.

Great Boot

Rating:****

Over all very impressed after a few times out with these. Very comfortable from the first use and plenty of room in the toe box!
I had tried the Alpina 2075's and thought they were heavy for the amount of support you got and a lot less comfortable.
A few notes on the BC X11:
-Ratchet straps are very short, don't know why they didn't make them a little longer. This can make it less than easy to catch the first tooth but over all work well.
-I have never worn anything other than a size 46 and I ended up with a 47 on these.

It doesn't get any better than this...

I am so in love with these boots! They offer the best of both worlds for me: stiff enough to carve out nice, precise tele turns, and yet soft enough to give adequate kick and flexibility when spending the day touring through flats or rolling hills. They required absolutely no break-in period, and as someone who has gotten blisters from almost every pair of boots I have ever worn I was surprised to discover that these gave me no troubles at all. These boots are toasty warm even on the coldest days. I can't recommend them enough!
