Well made product but it just doesn't fit all dogs.

| I have a 10 year old dachsund who still hikes and kayaks with me. She's short legged, of course, and, at her age, she's a little round in the middle. Going by her measurements, the XS should have fit but didn't (too small). So, I ordered a size larger (Small) but it was way too big through the chest and way too long for her little legs. It fit her midsection, though. Sooo, I took it to an alteration shop and for $38 they customized the coat to fit her! I would have only spent the money customizing a product that was worth it. So, depending on your dog, the Cloud Chaser is worth the money (especially if you find it on sale like I did). I only rated it 4 stars because of the fit. Otherwise, it would've been 5 stars. | |

Very good for my Pit female

| I bought this for my two sibling Pit/Rott's. The md fits my 75lb/31" barrel chested Tx Red Nose Pit female snug except zipper wants to open when she sits(safety pin fix). Lrg was simply too big and baggy for her tho they say go larger and 31" was min for lrg. On her brother, the lrg covered too much of his belly and a crucial area for relieving himself. That was a deal breaker for him. But the fit on his sister is good covering all the way down her belly which is exposed skin. Pits can't take the cold and she will turn me around if she is bothered but the CC makes walking fine now. Great for shrt haired female dogs. | |

Amazing coat | |

| I was looking for a coat that would keep the underneath of my Bichon Frise dry in any type of weather that Maine can bring us. This is the perfect coat for the job, not only is the coat very well made but the ergonomic fit stays close to her body keeping her nice and warm even on the coldest days. I have to admit, I was a little leary of the zipper because she has so much fur, but it is not a problem at all. Excellent Coat, I actually bought another because I liked it so much. | |

| Great for my large mastiff-mix! I walk my dog 3-4x per day to keep his arthritic joints and muscles limber, so, when we moved to Minnesota we found he needed a coat to keep him warm through the cold winters. The stretchy soft shell coat provides warmth without restricting movement, covers my dog's arthritic shoulders more thoroughly than any other design I've seen, and it actually fits his long body and deep chest without the fabric bunching or pulling in any way. This coat was a GREAT FIND! | |

Exceptional | |

| The jacket is great and my dog loves it! I have a beagle; she has a wider chest and a skinnier waist so it it slightly big at the waist. Otherwise it is a great fit and is true to sizing if you get too measurements! Great materials, definitely seems like it will last many seasons! We got the boots but so far we haven't been able to field test them. However they are excellent quality and again, true to sizing charts. | |

Amazing great looking coat

| It is so well made and the material is amazing. I was worried about the fit because my dog is a deep chested, small waist breed, but the fit is great and hugs my dog like a glove. The reflective tape comes in really handy on those cold winter morning walks and late night dog training sessions . I recommend this coat to anyone wanting to keep there dog warm and dry, but still stylish! Two thumbs up again Ruffwear. | |

Cloud Chaser - Excellent for Snow!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I was given this coat as a gift and just tried it on my Border Collie. We started snowshoeing and I was told he needed something that was water resistant and protected his chest from abrasion. This worked perfectly! He stayed warm and dry even after rolling in the snow. The zipper works much better at keeping the coat on than some coats with velcro. Definitely worth the extra money. The Ruffwear Griptex Booties are also money well-spent! | |

Great coat | |

| I ordered this for my golden/border collie mix, Female 55 lbs in Large. It doesn't fit snug, but needed Lg for the length. She loves it and it works great to keep her dry--especially underneath. It didn't fit the Male 62 lb Lab though (full coverage underneath didn't fit male so well) so I will get him the Ruffwear raincoat on this site. The lab didn't like the sleeves either--but he's a goof. | |

It's a miracle! | |

| The Cloud Chaser jacket fits my mini dachshund like a glove! He feels comfortable and not restricted so he stays happy, not to mention dry from neck to chest to under/arms to most of his body. It's like a wetsuit but more comfortable. Well made & excellent material. Truely an innovation in the right direction for active, outdoors dogs of all sizes (even mini dachshunds!). | |

Lightweight and Feels Warm
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I can only assume it feels warm, but the materials look like it will keep my pup warm when we go out in the snow this winter. I like the lightweight jacket and it fits surprisingly well, even with the length (he's 16 inches long from neck to base of tail and 17 inches at the widest part of his chest) with short legs. | |
