A comfortgrip handle of tubular webbing fits in your hands with an ergonomic, positive grip when Rex decides to check out the poodle across the park. The high-quality mini carabiner on the opposite end attaches to any collar for a secure hold on your pup. couldnt be happier with it

Rating:*****

i did have to contact you guys about the L and S and they are not LONG and SHORT but are thicknesses. the L - which is what i got is thicker (like a climbing rope) and hte S which i was told is a bit thicker than a normal pen. i love it. the handle is soft in my hand and the clip looks mighty cool and works great. i like the lockign feature on it. its really a cool leash and even my husband who chided me for spending money on a new leash when we already have plenty, is super glad i got it. he wants to get rid of the old leashes now!

Best leash I've ever owned!

Rating:*****

I've used different kinds of leashes for my active 5 1/2 year old 86 lb. chocolate lab and this leash is so much more comfortable on my wrist than others I've used before. It doesn't twist or get tangled up like other conventional leashes. And I love the locking clip as well, what a great feature! Now when my dog sees a bunny that he immediately wants to run and say hello to, although this leash doesn't' do anything for the grass stains on my pants, it definitely doesn't cut into my wrist. I would recommend this product hands down to anyone who is looking for a quality leash.

Finally

Rating:*****

I'm so glad RuffWear modified the design and added the locking carabiner feature. We owned these leashes a few years ago when they did not lock, and we had multiple instances of the leash un-clipping and dogs escaping...to the point where we finally called RuffWear to complain and request a return, which they did. We saw they changed the leashes a few months ago, and we bought some immediately. We LOVE these now. The rope handle is so comfortable, and I feel much more secure walking my dogs now that the biners lock. I also appreciate the reflective detailing on the leash.

Awesome Leash

Rating:****

This is a great leash - we have a 75lb lab and the leash has a very soft feel for a dog that occasionally pulls! Nylon webbing leashes can rip your hands up but this is great - especially if your hands are already accustomed to climbing rope. I swap out the carabiner that comes with it for a locking BD Quicksilver because I've had the Ruff Wear biner pop open with our last leash. By upgrading the biner it is perfect.

Worth every penny...

Rating:****

My Pointer knows exactly what's going to happen when this leash comes out...a hike! This leash has been awesome! It gives her enough length to explore, but keeps her in check. She pulls like crazy when she sees birds, and it has withstood all the pulling and then some! The stock carinbiner has some minor flaws in that the locking nut comes loose if your dog gets a bit crazy. Replace the biner and you have the best leash ever!

fun variation on a theme

Rating:*****

My dog and I like taking walks with this leash. Reflective threads are woven into it, so visibility in the dark isn't a problem, and also looks pretty cool. The carabiner attachment is easy to use, even if you're wearing gloves. The wrist loop is big, so it's easy to loop around stationary objects to make an impromptu dog run. Juneau knows that when this leash comes out, good times are going to be had.

Love the Leash

Rating:*****
Perfect leash for my 90-lb doggie. The best part is the redesigned carabiner. Very sturdy and does not come open as I have had happen with another similar leash. You can hook your hand/wrist through the handle so there is a greater sense of security. I have the red, green and blue in size large. Hope Ruff Wear extends their color range (orange, purple, green).

Ruffwear Knot-a-leash

Rating:*****

Bought two, one for our Boston Terrier & for our Bulldog. They're wonderfull!!! Comfortable to use, easy to put on and very secure with the locking mechanism. The reflective thread in the leash is a real plus when walking the dogs in the evening or night. Highly recomended by someone who has dogs all their life 60+ years....best leash ever! Thanks

The Best Leash Ever!

Rating:*****
This leash (climbing rope) is very comfortable to hold onto and gives the handler confidence that no matter how hard a dog may pull, the leash (rope) will hold. The small locking binder is a nice touch and much better that the normal leash snap-to-collar device. Ruff Wear has designed and produced the finest leash!

very strong leash

Rating:*****

I love this leash. It's strong enough to hold on to 2 excited Aussies.
The extra loop on the handle can serve as different functions.
Q- hold poop bag
R- to hook the end 'biner' and get it out of the way.
