Salomon Czar Ski - Salomon Czar Skis 2012: The Salomon Czar Skis are twin tip, performance powder ski combining rocker shape for floatation in powder with woodcore and normal camber under the foot for stability. It has a nice long sidecut for linking longer turns in the high alpine. For a more traditional feel around the mountain and float in the powder the Czar is the way to go.

Fabric:

• Edgy Monocoque offers precise edge grip, no excess material, and efficient energy transfer from the skier to the snow for freeskiing.

Lining and Layers:

• PULSE PAD is a layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for a smoother ride and improved ski-snow contact.
• Double Monocoque is a double layer of fibers for maximum response and edge grip.

Weather and Wind:

• Full Woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound, which maximizes ski/snow contact and filters vibrations.

Traction and Grip:

• Total Edge Reinforcement has a fiber directly on the edges providing edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.

Features:

• We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

• Powder Rocker is a very large, single rocker shape, used on wider powder skis to provide maximum flotation in the front part of the ski. Normal camber from the mid-foot back ensures stability. A 60% pressure zone when flat has a slight transition to a 75% pressure zone when on edge for maneuverability and stability at high speeds.
• Wide Edges are thicker for increased durability and improved shock resistance.
