Best Lightweight Hiking Boot

I have owned salomon exit mids, merrell moabs and keen targhees, all two times, and while I like them all, I find the salomon fits me best. They have a good snug fit without being tight, good cushioning soles, and the heel is snug. The merrells I have do not have enough sole padding and are tighter in the toes, so I can't wear them as long without discomfort. The Keens have a nice big toe box (think troll feet) but my heels slide from side to side, creating planters facia pain. I always keep coming back to the salomons because they fight just right.

Great snug fit.

Stability traction breathability support and ruggedness all fantastic. I use these when rafting for a camp and hiking shoe in dessert canyons. even in 90 + degrees (F) i find my feet in perfect hormony with their surroundings. from wet terrain to dry fry an eggs rocks the boot hold up and allows for vital adjustments with little effort. it's a boot crossed with a cross trainer. Fantastic.

Great

I was a skeptical about buying Salomon as I had a pair years ago and they were heavy, hot and clunky.

However, it seems Salomon has done their homework and come out with a solid/practical pair of hiking boots.

They're lightweight and cool, ideal for AZ and everyday use
